ohh bleach in the cloner too? I had gone with tap water with chlorine to keep it sanitary and worked like a champ! Thanks for the heads up I'll take a peak for the next round.

I was struggling soooo hard cloning there for a bit... Literally stomped one of my hydro cloners..I've since switched to cyco Coco coir in small cups...Take a snip ... Straight to the coco.. I don't dip the cuts in anything! water with tap water 10 drips of Clorox bleach per gallon...Been getting 100%. First time in a long time I have backups of everything WAY before they finish out..I swear I'll never use a different method...

i know the feeling, had a bad week or two fighting my aero and snapped the spray nozzles off at the thread losing my patience. but regardless of method, clones don't need much of anything to actually root. in nature one could relate cloning to a branch snapping off a plant and falling into a puddle. and voila
a lot of the cloning products out there are, more or less, providing us with a placebo effect of confidence... when we need to just leave them alone imo. and ofc stay sterile as possible. assuming things continue like they are, im gonna keep up with this method, at least in my plugs.

Personally, I cut a good size clone, which never fits in the moss Block's pre made holes, so I tear those open at the top about a third the way down, and I cut up the stem to bifect it, scratch the stem on the other side, dip in Clonex powder, put in the block, add the soil, and then I use the Clonex water supplement for a few days.
They go straight into a sealed tent with no light or even fan (that would dry them out to fast, and it costs money) and after 2 or 3 days of me opening the tent to spray them with water and add the Clonex water mix if they're dry, I use a small LED panel that I use for seedlings turned down low, and give them like 2 or 3 days of 24 hour low level light. Then they go to normal veg timing, and I use clear solo cups with a colored solo cup on the outside, so I can watch for roots.
Once there are roots at the side of the cup, I can put them outside or into Veg. This is the only method I've used other than once using Weeping Willow tree branches de-foliated and cut into small sticks soaked in water for 24 hours.
Once the sticks have soaked in water and been shaken up every so often, you put the clone in that with a floater. Apparently the branches have natural IBA. Only did that once though.

Initially I put the cyco Coco coir in a big bowl...I soak the crap out of it. Saturation of the coco is more accurate.. Using the tap water with 10 drips of bleach..Then I slop the coco coir in the small bathroom cups and level it off with my finger...Not really smashing it down into the cup. Just a quick swipe to lvl it off...Clean a wooden skewer stick with alcohol and make a nice hole down thru the coco...Clean scissors with alcohol...Take the snip and drop it in the hole and lightly push the coco around the stem.....Been 100% so far..I'll never change this method..Been the best I've ever done and it's also the quickest I've seen roots.....Side note to this...Ive used this same method using clonex powder and also dip and grow liquid ..Some of those never rooted. Only getting 100% going straight from snip to coco. Nothing at all on the snip

im basically doing the procedure exactly as he has it in the guide, with some small mods. have some co2 packs that i tossed in the dome, not using his Green Cleaner either. outside of that, everything is by the book. root riots, clonex gel & solution, bleach, and i used distilled. didnt have to pH anything, went full strength on Clonex solution. and outside of perking up fast, nothing has changed since i cut them. which is good
for his sterilizing *tools and trays* protocol, i came to 8.75 ml bleach per liter. and for reference, 20 drops of bleach equals about 1 ml, maybe slightly more. *for the plug soak i used 1.25 ml bleach per 3 liters* im also keeping the dome/tray on the lowest shelf of my wire rack, with zero direct light, only 2 household 5000k bulbs in the room itself.

So, I have news:
Cheetos male has a nice growth structure that I like. He also is sticky. He also smells like straight up Cheese.... That's every box ticked for me. Current plan is to clone him, and then, once those clones have roots, cut the seedling down, and decide on where the pollen will go.
Cheetos is beautifully done; Exodus Cheese X Sour Diesel. I'm not getting much of the Sour Diesel side as far as I know, which makes a lot of sense given than the breeder said Cheese dominates the line. He's not kidding either.
You can smell him very well, and it's VERY much a Cheese and.... More Cheese smell.
If I'm able to flower him out in my tent, I'll collect the pollen, and then, decide what to do with it. Currently, I'd like to try a few things:
Susie Cream Cheese X Cheetos
Fiona's Chem Cake X Cheetos
Sin City Juice X Cheetos
Blue Cheese X Mikado X Cheetos (The structure on Blue Cheese X Mikado isn't great for outdoor, but this male has GOOD structure)
Cheetos X Chem DMT (I'll be honest here... I'd have used Chem D bagseed for this, my love of Chem D would make me not care anyway....Not like anyone else will be growing a bunch of shit only I care about)

I mean, to be honest, the Cheese and Chemdog stuff are my passion. I can't think of too many strains I truly love that don't have those in them. Then again at this point, what doesn't have Skunk #1 in it somewhere outside of a landrace right? LOL.
The Chem DMT I haven't ran yet as I'm out of room for this season, but it's Chem D, so, I know it's what I want, just have to find that special lady in there that smells like bad decisions and go for it LOL.

Bro, you see that post I made the other day where I literally smelled like Cheese ? At a fair, went to a bathroom, used Hand sanitizer after I was done, and I came out like "WTF does this stuff smell like Cheese???" I sniffed my hand and I'm like "No this is really a Cheese I'm smelling...." Ask the Wife, both kids, and they look at me like "wtf...." and all of them agreed I smelled like Cheese.... I know how shocking that must sound... LOL.
