Once upon a time, I had a drop at GLG that had BX of both Chem'91 and Chem D as freebies along with Chem crosses, so it does occasionally happen
You definitely came to mind when I saw the inquiry @Psychobilly posed!

I just got the Chem 91 VA cut. I ran it outdoors and it looked fantastic. Due to bad weather I had to pull it down a little earlier than I would’ve liked to. It is hanging drying right now.
I am currently running it indoors. It is at about three weeks and looks good. Once I verify that I like it I will be making seeds with It.
There are also crosses out there that I made with Chem D . But I no longer have her. I will also be working with some sour diesel strains.

Chem D is one of my all time favorites, it's a wonderful strain in my opinion. From the sounds of it being hard to find no one kept any?
Oh, the cuts all over the place. Tons of people kept it, thats why you see it in so many crosses. Its just not a lot of the clone vendors have it at the moment because its not trendy, they can make a lot more money off hypebeast stuff. But its on Strainly right now, as is Chem 4 and Chem 91. All from vendors i havent used so not sure on the legitimacy.
And thats really the crux of the issue, and why I keep suggesting you just get a cross. If you buy a Chem D cross from a trusted breeder like @Schwaggy P or the aforementioned Strayfox, you know they used the real thing, so even if 50% of the parentage is something different, you'll find some Chem D leaners. Unless you've used a clone vendor before you never really know what your getting till its flowered put, and with the prevelance of HLvD these days seeds seem safer to me. I'll only take cuts from homies these days.
If you really want the cut though, you could definitely get it without too much hassle (though it may cost you a pretty penny)

After doing physical labor today and pulling tops off Chem D and two days of nothing but Fiona's Chem Cake, and then today adding Gelato #33, and then Skywalker to test I realized I have Alanis Morissette stuck in my head....

On the subject of Chem D, I just harvested a small batch of Chem D x Dog Patch seeds that I made. The Dog Patch male is Chem D x (Chem '91 Bc2). I will most likely be looking through those for a good male to pollinate the Chem D again for a backcross. I can't say for sure that I will find a suitable male though. Time will tell. Positive vibes...

When I looked up "Chemdog" with his new dispo site, they said a cutting was only 40 dollars I think ? I remember it wasn't much compared to what I thought it would be, but, as you've rightly pointed out, since it isn't a parent to the hype monsters it simply isn't looked for as much. Supply and demand I suppose. I guess my quickest easiest route is getting leafly to think it's the parent that I joked about LOL.
You know I've only had ONE cross of Runtz in my life, and was actually surprised by the spicy nature of it..... All I'd have to do is be like "That spicy part is because they secretly used Chem D to cross into the Zkittles" hahaha.
I would LOVE to say I didn't look anything like what Amos posted reading that..... Hahaha. I can't even imagine how that would smell because of the incredible Lineage right there!
Yes! I hear Chemdog "originals" are very finicky, but I support your decisions very much so, in using it to breed

Chemdog is the head of grow ops for Canna Provisions here in MA as of last month, dont think he has his own thing going on at the moment and the only clones they have right now are a Tre Dawg cross and something called Da Funk
But yeah, you can definitely find cuts for cheap you just have to be patient if your lookong for a particular thing. Theres no consistency at all in clone pricing haha. Youll see the exact same cut going for $500 in one place and $50 in another. Its so weird.
