The Neville's Haze is on day 71 of flower and looks like it is still stretching, ffs. As some other plants finish, I'm going to try and move some things around and finish it off in its own space with a 10/14 schedule.

I think I'm over trying to grow a 4+ month sativa in with the rest of the girls. Just too much of a hassle. I have a very leggy purple kush that was too far from the lights during the stretch due to the height required by the sativa, and now the Haze is top heavy and needing support so moving it around is a pain.

I still want to work with these strains, I just need to be better prepared.
This is why I haven't dropped my Lambsbread yet... I was all stoked when I got it and started to remember what it's like to run a 14-16 week sativa and was like... crap, this is gonna need its own tent!

Missed your response to my Rom question somehow, appreciate the update... short and squat is how I like my Romulans! Totally agree on the IBLs too... great way to get into heirlooms and landraces without having to run dozens of unruly plants looking for keepers

I didn't top but couldn't resist a bit of LST and I probably should have resisted. It is a dense mass of foliage, even with defoliating.
Not only that, but it wasn't until I rooted a clone that I noticed it is a mutant, with three leaves at every node instead of two. The clone was flipped a few days back so I'll know shortly if I have a girl.

I was going to keep this one around for a while if female, but the mutation has me wary. I guess the harvest will make up my mind.

My WWxNL cross has produced flowers with a super heavy indica stone, and is knocking out my friend with pain issues, so that takes a bit of pressure to produce off the Romulan. I still want to see what the fuss is about, though.

Strawberry male, enjoying some solitary pleasure. ;)
Only harvested one female from this strain so far and it was really good, so I figured I'd let this guy finish and add to the collection.

Just renewed my prescription and the pandemic made it easy. Being a charming gentleman made it even easier. ;)
It's crazy, but just being pleasant and appreciative is almost like a cheat code. Whoda figured?

Anyway, I had three chats with three ladies. The first one made the appointments and told me about the video conference software they use. By then we had established rapport and I said I would do what was necessary, but the software would be an inconvenience due to my various network and security settings. She said she would make a note and they could work around it.

This week I spoke on the phone with two health professionals who renewed me after brief and pleasant chats and I have my ass covered for another year.:cool::cool:

And one more. Last time I popped one of these it seemed like this was a strain folks were curious about, but it damped off and died due to operator error. This one is looking healthy on day 6 after emerging the coco.

I can't believe it took me another month to notice that this plant had 3 leaves per node instead of two, especially since I posted this photo clearly showing the mutation.

Like I always say, good thing I'm pretty, cause I sure ain't smart. :carlton:

I think that trifolate s just a random thing,,not necessarily a flaw. I have had plants do it all the way up the main stalk but they usually give up on it by the time they're branching and budding.

Awesome stuff in here dude.
I have two rooted clones still throwing 3 per node. Given that she's growing about 4 nodes/inch, it's just a bushy mess. I put one clone under 12/12 for a few days for sexing and it has stretched a bit, but the other is about 5 inches high and has approximately 2.7 million nodes. There's hardly any stem at the top, just leaves piled on leaves piled on leaves.
The donor was flipped a few days ago, if she doesn't start stretchin' and impressin' soon, I'll likely cull the clones.

Thank you for the kind words. I'm always trying to learn and improve. :)

Going to try a little SOG for the first time, if all goes well. I put down 7 of my Blueberry x Northern Lights F1s hoping for 6 plants, and about 50 hours later six of seven have grown tails. I'm still new enough at this that I get a thrill every time a seed I made pops, so I'm pretty chuffed this morning. :carlton:

Stupid ugly Neville's Haze:rolleyes: is on day 81 of flower under extended dark periods. She started drinking more heavily and I was slow to notice so she dried out pretty badly once. I don't think any big damage was done, but the leaves are ugly. There are a few brown hairs lower down, but overall no real significant changes in appearance.

Still waiting for a fulvic product I have on order at the garden store to arrive. Looking forward to seeing what effect it has. I'm thinking the SOG will be a good way to do a side by side. They will be F1's from a stable line, not as good as clones for a side by side, but if fulvic works like it is claimed I should still be able to see a difference.

Dope log man. Love the old school selection. That NH is fuckin bonkers! I have 4 seeds of this by Seedsman in the vault... Not sure on how well the rendering would be...been kinda scared to pop...but I'm gonna have to take the plunge at some point! I feel the time is coming soon... I'll live vicariously through you until then ?

Thanks, MO. :)
The likes and stuff are cool, but taking the time to type a response is truly appreciated. Cheers!

I'm old school for sure, but really more just an IBL guy rather than a poly-hybrid fan. I like to drop a seed and know it will most likely conform to one of a known number of phenotypes. I'm too old for surprises. ;)

If you do pop your Neville's, I'd appreciate a heads-up, if you think of it. I'd like to see how it grows in a different garden.

First look at the Purple Kush, on day 31 since the light change.
This is the first girl I've grown of this strain, and it looks interesting so far. This is the one that over-stretched when the Neville's Haze was keeping the light too high. I've got rooted cuts if she is worth keeping.

direct link for last photo. If the rest are distorted, just wait 10 days or so to see them properly rendered. https://pixelfed.social/storage/m/_...AhtwgV5MXRsWsFZAeP0IcqwNY0wwQrm0e0G07Be0.jpeg

Kickin ass man. It takes some serious patience to tackle the long flowering sativas. Thanks for sharing your endeavors.
Thanks so much for reading and for commenting. :)

I won't be rushing to do a four monther any time soon, but eventually the Malawi Gold in the Vault will start sending me telepathic messages, saying it's time to put myself though 3 or 4 months of frustration.

In the meantime, I'm looking forward to seeing how my idea for a little perpetual SOG in the 2x2 works out. Right now I'm eyeing the 2x2 for variety, while keeping the 3x3 as a main production tent.

I keep trying to simplify, but there are just too many things I want to experiment with. I've been back to juggling 6 tents and cabs for a while, and just set up a seventh. Moms, clones, veg space, males, plus flowering is a lot to keep up with, but it looks like I won't have much else to do this winter, so I figure "why not?".

I didn't mean to imply I was reinventing the wheel, it just occurred to me that I can do something similar to my 4 plant perpetual 3x3 flower tent, but with ~6 sprouts or freshly rooted clones in small containers in the 2x2. It will allow me to do a bit more pheno hunting than my present setup.

Presently I have 6 or 8 sprouts that are only a day or two old. The plan is to flip them after 7 days and then start filling empty spaces with cuts or sprouts as I cull males or unimpressive plants, and continue that indefinitely, tweaking plant numbers, veg period, and pot sizes as I learn.

No doubt! I like watching others grow stuff I have as well... I'll keep you in mind when I do. Nice to make your acquaintance ?
