Oh, I forgot. I guess I've seen a little more of Australia than I'd remembered, even if it is in a dystopian future.
I watched the first season of Cleverman a while back and thought it was pretty cool.
Some lazy writing in the first episode of Season 2 pissed me off and drove me away, but I should go back and finish watching.

I thought some of the native Australian (don't know proper term these days, no offense if I said something incorrect) actors were amazing and it was fun seeing Jorah Mormont in such a different role.
Did you see that one, @Ramjet159 ? If so, what did you think?

Also, you and the Limeys call it taking the piss, we just call it being sarcastic bastards, and we pride ourselves in our skill. :) Another thing we share. ?

Yeah I did watch a couple episodes of Cleverman and didn’t mind it . We do have some talented Aboriginal actors . I don’t watch a whole lot of TV to be honest and when I do it’s usually Sport or Documentaries or Real life crime shows . I get bored easily so it has to really grab me or I lose focus pretty quick . I spend most of my days outdoors . I even have my Television mounted outside in our BBQ area so even when Sport is on I’m still plodding along in my garden usually with the wife close by as well . Ive always said if I ever won the lottery I’d travel to every corner of this planet just to see it for myself , so be it the good the bad and the ugly to steal the term .

Never paid much attention to her, but when I learned that the ultra talented and genuinely good human being Dolly Parton was her godmother and that they were close, I realized she was likely a pretty smart kid that knew what she was doing. Still never heard much of her music, but she seems like a solid person.

She's a big deal in MMA right now because this nerdy fighter used his post-win interview last week to ask her to be his valentine and she responded. I think it's an ongoing thing, but I refuse to pay that much attention.

Anyway, here's Miley performing with someone she clearly loves.

I’m a hard rock guy....been to hundreds of rock concerts. The very first time and every single time I hear this, I get goosebumps! Dollys voice has always been great (went a lot of places with my grandma so I heard a lot of Dolly!), but Miley’s voice in this song is just so intense and powerful! She does have an absolutely wonderful voice!

@primaledges if you don’t mind me asking, what was your profession when working with these bands?! That’s quite the resume you’ve posted so far! Out of all the shows I’ve been to, the only one I’ve saw on you list was Filter. I believe it was Shiprocked in 2012 or 2014.

My main go-to music is hard rock, heavy metal, but I listen to a variety of other genres on occasion. Here is my WTF contribution. The guys from Jackass before Jackass was popular!

Security, Pit boss mainly (the “pit” is not a “mosh pit” it’s the area between the crowd and stage) in Virginia. I also ran Security at The Flood Zone (3500 person venue) where a lot of these bands would play in Richmond, Va. from there I’d network with production companies and headliners directly to work shows within 3-4 hours from home. I had 2 children and was not willing to travel months at a time. I’d do 2-3 shows in Va and then head home. From 1996 - 1999 I did this full time. 1994-1996 I worked in bars as a bouncer mainly strip clubs full time. In 1998 my 3rd child was born and I desperately needed insurance. I turned a knack for being able to tell people things they don’t want to hear into a successful career at Verizon Wireless as a sales person then sales manager. I left that job in 2007 to actually become a Juvenile Corrections Officer to try and help kids like I was, group homes and homeless on my own by 16. I continued to do side security/concert work until my motorcycle accident..... and there you have ALMOST (not really) my life story... Sorry man chronic pain makes me ramble.... even in postings it seems..... You’ll notice almost all the acts I worked with were up and coming or starting to be big in the late 90’s and early 2000’s. I’m 51 now, those were my “glory” years.....

I feel like I’ve saw this before! Hahahaha!!!! As for my concert life, my first one was Ted Nugent in 1997. Saw Godsmack in 98 opening for Black Sabbath. Since then, it’s been hundreds of shows, mostly in West Michigan, but I’ve been to Rock im Park and Rockavaria in Germany and saw Marilyn Manson in Sweden to name a few. Slowing down now. Just turned 40 and met a woman with two kids and built a house, so apparently my glory days are in the past as well. That’s a hard pill to swallow....

Concerts (and bars for that matter) are ruined for me. Concerts half way through I’m waiting (and counting down) until it’s over AND I do nothing but critique the security to myself and bars my wife says I go into “work” mode and pay attention to everything BUT her. The only exception for me going to live music is classical (symphonic). Call me a closet nerd or a tattooed geek but I love it...

So..... one of the WEIRDEST gigs I ever did (besides running security at a monthly “swingers” event... Hey it was $300.00 for 4 hours work in 2003...JS) was working for these guys. On the other hand it was stress free from a security aspect and we never hit a venue that was bigger than 5k. I was actually surprised at how many people came to hear these guys play.

The only time I was EVER hit doing my job (many, many, many tried <best Trump impression>) was working for these guys. A BIG 19 year old Samoan kid with a fist the size of my head in fact.
