I've had a strain that for some reason wasn't really doing much for side branches, and one day last year I was like "I'm gonna try something...." and I grew her sideways. Now I don't know if I'd recommend this inside a tent, as she went totally nuts.... The branches she did have, I cut all of them off on the side facing the soil, and she went all branch nuts on me and my first thought was "I have to take branches off.....The buds are gonna be popcorn if I don't" so I started taking a bunch off to try and tame it, but it didn't work at all... She popped to many branches I literally couldn't even get in there to check them. But yeah sometimes I've seen a plant that didn't want to branch out, and a little sideways action seemed to help depending of course, on the genetics.... The Hawaiian Sunshine took it well, but Candy Kush hated me for it, and ended up looking like she had Scoliosis or something.... And the branches didn't do very much either so it did NOT go well with that one.
