Yeah, I think he might get high but regardless I love his philosophy of live and let live.

"Where I come from [Humboldt County, the capital of American cannabis cultivation], it was a major part of the agricultural scene. It drove a lot of the community.

“Cooking with it, I don't really know, I haven't seen a lot with it. I haven't done it.

“But I think we've kind of lived in the Dark Ages ... I think we're just starting to open up the window to what the reality is, and I think we're going to find there are a lot more positive benefits. My dad just battled through cancer, and I saw the positive effect of what CBD does.

“My philosophy is this: Whatever is good for people, I'm a believer in. I believe everything can also be bad for people, so I think it has to be in moderation, and has to be controlled and has to be measured. What I'm not interested in is somebody telling somebody else how to live their life.”

Good read.

Man I love the setup you got . ??
Neighbor gave me that lg 8x16' greenhouse. He moved to Bakersfield, about a 3.5 hr drive North about a year and a half ago. We spent many a night puffing on the patio. I sent him some pics of the purple buds. Hoping he pays a visit soon, haven't seen him since we made the drive up last summer. Little greenhouse I built 8 yrs ago. I almost tore it down after acquiring the lg one. Sure glad I kept it, works well for seedings?

These 10 seem to be beefing up and looking better then when I brought them out. Giving lots of P & K and just a little N. I'll start taking them down pretty soon as those trichs are going amber.

The 10 Magnum Flames (there's one hiding in the tomato) are the oldest and will show sex soon.

The LA Women

Lot of stretch on these girls although I've noticed the 2 on the left end getting the cs spray hasn't continued stretching. Something I'll keep an eye on when I start spraying other strains.
The boys

are patiently waiting. I'll move a couple females down. I do want to produce more reg seeds.

About ready to move the Dec Funky Runts

Keeping a very close eye on these girls. Moma was deformed and hermied and produced the seeds, all of 27 seeds and I'm only getting 50% plants. Pop rate is 80+% but several don't make it. Genetically deformed plants are not something I want to breed but the smoke off Mama hammered me so here we are.

I need to take some clones
20220122_174333.jpg
I've been thinking about wrapping stems in rock wool after making a few small cuts and applying rooting hormones. It's still getting cold at night getting down into the 40's and I'm afraid it will take too long to root cloning the normal way. I've read about it and seen pics and believe this is the way to do it this time of year.

I bought a cheap digital microscope
20220123_085137.jpg
and still haven't hooked it up. Been trying on an old phone but they just won't communicate. I've got an android netbook I'm going to play with today. A phone would have been so much easier. Such is life.

This has been an awesome smoke. So good that when that last bud is gone I'm gonna roll up those sugar leaves?

Pretty interesting but glad I only spent $22. Difficult to zero in and can't be touching the camera while taking a pic. Oh well, I'll play with it from time to time and I'll have to make a stand for it so I can get pics of plants growing.

Ive had decent luck with this gadget.

Only 7 bucks on fleabay. I can clamp it to my net frame and position my camera in any position and use the phone to snap the pic once I've focused it.
Not ideal but does the job better than the ol hand job.

Well, got the estimate on the truck, $5k. It's got 140k miles and of course it's paid off. Here's what Matt said:
"Our original estimate was $2,600 (head gaskets). If we add the other things we are seeing it will bring us closer to $5k.
that includes, front and rear brakes, replacing the leaking master cylinder, water pump, thermostat, spark plugs, belt. drilling out the broken exhuast studs. resealing the leaking front timing cover."
Horry sheet. Oh well, better than buying anything used or worse, new. A new one would be $300 a month and another $100 a month in insurance. Anything used we'd be buying someone else's problems. We had a new transmission installed a little over a year ago (truck was still under warranty) so with all this work we'd pretty much have little to go wrong for 4-5 years so it's worth getting repaired.

BUT!!! I pulled out at hunk of pork

for dinner and tacos tomorrow?

The definite plus is it's paid for!
Our 2 year old truck is paid for and I'm starting to hear the transfer case chain slap. So,,,, I just have to fix it and drive, no payment.
Our everything is paid off!! Best feelin ever. Retired and cruzin.

I don't want to say anything,
BUT
You're Not going be happy if you put it back together and suck a ring off the piston where that head gasket went bad..

Just thinking out loud cause if you can get a crate motor and he just does a change even if you're at 7 grand you got a new truck drivetrain

Very true. These guys will continue to look at everything, obviously but we've gone from 2,500 to 5k already. The wife is giving me that look?

About 5 yrs ago we hit a chair on the freeway going 70. I was trapped in the lane and had no choice but to go over it. Dragged a piece of it for a quarter mile. Pulled over and looked but didn't see any damage. I guess there was some.

I'll pass that thought on to Matt, see what he thinks. Thanks man?

Oh there's going to be something else before it's done.

But here's the thing
You can put alot of toilets in to cover the extra cost If the truck is Running.
Just the down time is costing you money..

Even if he surfaces the heads, he's not going to do the motor deck, if there's going to be a new problem that's the weak spot...

At 140k and most of that around town your more like 200k on the inside of your motor..

I just think you should ask..

Truck prices are not coming down and labor costs are only going up..

Cold this morning

Little greenhouse when I got up this morning. Yeah, that's COLD here?

For the past.5-6 days I've been pumping the nutes into these plants trying to fatten up the buds
20220125_082131.jpg
20220125_082147.jpg
and I think it might be working. I'm using MasterBlend and doubling the per gallon recommended amount while using the normal amount of Epsom salts and half the amount of calming.

I wish I had taken some pics when i started but honestly i didn't think there would be such a difference.

I was planning on taking these down end of the month so 6 more days to fatten up.

It's not working on the Gherry's

This girl had 4+ more weeks vegging under extra LED's of 15 hr days as I was keeping her as a mom but had a better one so she got put outside. I'm gonna let her go for a while longer, no amber yet.
