Amherst Sour Diesel #1 Day 53
Early pull due to sudden death in hydro
Absolute beast, even at early pull. Keep in mind this is only a 3 week veg, with a main branch topping.
I posted earlier in the 420 comp thread, cuz this was my entrant. It was like this a few days before:
A testament to how truly live and sensitive this system is. If things go right, which they seem to be so far for the rest of the plants in the system, there are insanely huge benefits; but if things go sideways, it can go extremely bad in just a matter of minutes.
I think I figured out what happened. When I looked in the bucket, there were no visible air bubbles. The undercurrent was flowing well. But the air stone disc wasn't putting out bubbles. I believe the root mass was so fucking dense that it either kinked the air hose line or just smothered the disc entirely in just one area. The hoses I use are black rubber and flexible vs the clear tubing kind. I've never had this happen before, but it is a learning experience. It makes me think that a waterfall in each bucket could be a solution. However, it would mean an entire system rebuild and a lot more research time to get there.
