What are you smoking on today?

Not taking rips of any of my home grown this morning but just finished a nice chunk of this from the state medical dispensary. Their flower ranges from horrible to tolerable, but somehow they produce the most delectable rosins (their dry/curing process is off) I keep about 10 varieties in the fridge for the wife and I. This morning it's TKO (Tangerine cookie cross I believe) 20211105_071843.jpg

The second CBD plant, soon to get the chop.

All my girls are a bit neglected and abused with the move, new water to learn, and a cold basement. She still looks decent though, IMO. Slowly getting my shit together as I learn the space and develop a new routine

Likes like a fine blend @Amarok.
Neither of those parents are strong yielders - I really did not foresee those massive buds you have teased out of it !

Honestly, not what I expected.
That is a proper bush.

Thank you, kind sir.

If you read the description( which you clearly did :)) you saw that it looks like L13 put the time in on developing the line. She's been pretty painless to grow.

This pheno, despite a similar appearance, has a very different smell from the first. This one has no gas and only tropical sweet fruit right now.

Where were the Blue Cheese from? I’m still looking for something similar to a plant I ran in my early days of growing…

I have been growing Blue Cheese since the very first time I ever grew anything; This is year # 3 for me, and I started off with my Fiance and I going to a friend's house and getting two clones, which he had Blue Cheese and a few other ones as well, and I said "Well my vote goes to Blue Cheese" and so we got one clone of that, and then my Fiance picked Sunshine, and those two plants were our start. Then last year the clones of Blue Cheese were late so they missed like 4 or 5 weeks of veg, but I didn't care, it's literally my all time favorite strain ever, and we ended up with some seeds from the batch, and unlike the first year, I since had learned how to start plants from Seed, so this year I got 4 seeds of Blue Cheese from my previous year's clones to sprout, and out of the 4, there were 2 males, and two females, so I chopped the male plants down once they showed pollen sacs and left the females, and took 5 clones off the first female as she had enough branches when it was time, and though I waited a bit longer to clone off her, they still produced like you'd expect from a strain so amazing LOL. I did notice the other Seedling has a slightly different smell to her, as the Mother I used for my clones was like..... DANKY Cheese and Skunky with a sweet Blueberry undertone, and the other Seedling ended up having an.... Almost lavender smell? The Cheese and Berry smell is still there, but the sour cheese smell the mother ended up with is a little different. But I just ran with what I had.

I've got seeds already set aside for next year from both the Mother and the other Seedling, and we already have Motor Breath Seeds for next year, and Chem D of course, and as of yesterday Hawaiian Sunshine which I can't find ANY info on. May have been done locally by a breeder though. I mark my plants, and when we go to start cropping them, we mark everything so that way we know which seeds came from which plants, and our Grease Monkey plants finally had some Seeds too, which I'll probably use next year along with the GMO I got.

I'm not smoking anything. Met a friend down by the water to rip a few bowls and chat. Normally I roll J's but my supply was low so I took my pipe and the last of my stash. I'm generally a night time smoker so it took me nearly 24 hours to realize I shorted myself... It either fell out of my pocket or I left it on the bench for a lucky winner of the universe. It was the last of a MAC F2 I grew, and while that's a whole nother story, I'll be shelling out money I dont want to spend on some kiefed out dispensary garbage before I get high again.

All I gotta say is...

Today has been Blue Cheese so far but I've got a Skywalker in my pocket. Gonna have to grind more up when I get back and haven't decided quite yet but my options are in my opinion good too; Blue Cheese (two different seedlings and one is super pungent sour skunky Cheese and the other has a more mellow almost lavender smell too it).
Some of the Chem D is ready with it's burnt rubber smell.
Hawaiian Sunshine of course
Bubblegum
Cactido which has started smelling almost like Garlic as it cures lol.
Grease Monkey which has now taken on a slightly gassy smell, but the flavor is.... sandalwood incense sticks sort of flavor? Hard to describe that one.
Skywalker which has a way stronger Blueberry smell this year.
Strawberry Diesel which is coming around too.
Candy Kush which is starting to get an almost Caramel smell too it.
Motor Breath which is getting a nice gas aroma and good flavor in my opinion.

I've made a house blend jar too (buds that snipped off during trimming) which so far smells pretty nice too.

Anyone ever tried Candy Kush? The seeds came from last years indoor which started out smelling like Celery, and then as it cured smelled a lot like Root Beer lol.

Just sampled some of the Sin City Juice x Swazi Burmese cross I made! Really unique flavor, like orange rind, earth and sandlewood, but the bud structure still leans towards the Swazi which isn't ideal. Its so fluffy you have to grind up a huge nug just to get a normal size joint lol

Today has been nothing but Blue Cheese so far. Tell you one thing; being a member here, I've learned a LOT more about Phenotypes than I knew before, and how seeds from the same plant can be vastly different from one another....

The clones of Blue Cheese I grew last year are how I had seeds, and out of 4 seeds sprouted, two were Male, and two were female. The first plant that was big enough for me to take clones from, I took 5 off her, and the other I left alone and let her grow.

The one I used as a Mother has one of the strongest most pungent smells I've ever had the joy of growing, and the other seedling I've mentioned has a vastly different smell that's almost lavender like.

If I had a tent I could set up somewhere else knowing what I know now I'd have put one or two clones of that Mother in with a Male GMO. In terms of just straight dank.... I can't even fathom how that'd turn out but I'm guessing it'd be epic lol. The Mother seemed to have reached into her Skunk #1 heritage, asks added a sour Skunk Cheese smell to that pleasant Blueberry undertone that is really coming along nicely with the curing process..... man..... out of everything we grew this year, the mother and clones are just so... stank! That's how I'd put it, it's that just epic Pungent smell, and in a room full of weed that's all really nice smelling, I can still smell it from across the room when a jar opens.

Come next year when I start sprouting seeds and the Blue Cheese and GMO get going y'all gonna have to deal with me asking questions lol.

Bro that sounds awesome! The Sandalwood flavor, I think I gave an idea of what you mean; the Grease Monkey I did this year, I described the taste as "think of incense sticks in the late 90s burning" and yet the smell is really close to Motor Breath where it's gassy and not what you'd expect from the flavor.
