Finally getting around to some burgers and fries. Finish pics to come later likely, but Im trying a new fry method cause I failed miserably at my 2 day method... slow frying in a wok after an hour long soak in water, salt and vinegar. No idea how well this will work, but that oils done a few batches of chicken already so they should taste good at least... 20230211_192247.jpg

Sliders and fries. And pickles.

Fries are solid Probably overcrowded the pan a bit, a few arent as crispy as I'd like. But taste is stellar. Not as good as my two day fries, but beats the crap outta MacDs
Looking bomb. I always forget how the soak helps , but have always made frys on a whim. Preplanning is baller. Heck yeah!

Ive never seen that Sriraja Panich before. Something about the bottle just speaks to me. Thats definitely being added to the must try list
So I kinda slid past this comment till I could really get into that sauce for a review. It's good, but really just a slightly tangy garlic pepper sauce. The peppers they use have an awesome flavor, but it's not half as spicy as something like sriracha. It's good but I like my sauces to have more kick.

I see you threw threw them on a ...how do you say....pan? Lol....Did you throw those under the broiler a bit before consuming? They look delicious!!!
That little sheet is my plate most nights, after I make my girl a nicely presented plate. I threw the cheese on top of the hot steak and let it melt, and then put on the sandwiches quickly. I placed them on my sheet in case they did need a bit of broil, but didn't have to that night. We ate lotsa phillies when we lived there.

Kinda pricey, but when this one goes on sale, I'll stash a few bottles. Might not appeal to true Sriracha fans, as it's devoid of sweetness, but the extra umami sure makes up for it. Spicy Kimchi Sriracha

Thanks boss! Yeah, the soak helps a lot, especially using softer potatoes like yukon gold or white. After yesterday though Im thinking I should make fries on a whim more often. That slow fry method is pretty stupid proof for small batches and Im betting it would still be pretty damn good even without the soak! Im a chronic overthinker lol

Interesting! I like a nice variety of hot and mild sauces so I can mix and natcg, I just dont do overly sweet. I think this may actually be right up my alley!

As mentioned, I dont like overly sweet and am not a huge fan of the original rooster sriracha. Its just slightly spicey ketchup to me. Certainly has its place but its not usually my go to. This version is really intriguing, especially since my better half is a big fan of kimchi!
