I found this new flat bread recipe.
- 4 cups flour.
- 1.5 tsp baking soda.
- 1 tsp salt.
- 1 tsp sugar. I like brown sugar.
- 1.75 - 2 cups water.
Bake at 425 for 10 - 15 minutes depending how you like it. I like to add fresh minced garlic, a little crushed hot pepper and oregano to the dough before cooking sometimes. A little olive oil drizzled over the top...makes a delicious snack.
Anyways I thought it would make a good pizza dough.
Made a roux with garlic for the sauce.
Fresh mozzarella and feta cheese, basil, oregano, arugula, spinach, tomato, black olives and onion for the toppings. With some leftover grilled yard bird I raised for the meat. Before cooking...
After cooking...
The bird...she was a happy cornish chicken raised on vegetables, grain and love.
The skin charred quicker than anticipated from the brown sugar in the marinade. But the flavor was all the way to the bones...which will make a broth for some PHO next week.
Cheers! Be well and eat good.
