You think I'm gonna be a... Cheeky Bastard??... you know damn well I'm gonna try to pet the Landrace....

So currently on my mind, is Arizona trying to get extreme heat added to natural disaster status.... from the sounds of it, it wouldn't matter what seeds you grew there, it'd be fire either way lol.

@UncleB

Do you have asbestos for your mustache??

Definitely have to switch to a stiffer wax recipe.

The mild start to our summer has been noted by pretty much everyone I talk to. Should start ramping up soon. Monsoon season is just a few weeks away...

Our Summer or should I say Autumn temps were above average by far . It’s been a weird transition of seasons . It’s only been the last week or so where it’s got genuinely chilly ( ok Amarz , chilly for us )

Suites me as well for tolerant all day temp . I’m over the direct sun exposure thing after being fried during most of my youth . I had raccoon eyes full time for over a decade from my sunglasses .
I'll never forget the skin of the Kiwis that came to visit after my friends' band had toured down there. They looked like beef jerky.

My friends, who were all 30-ish during the NZ tour, were constantly asked for ID in pubs because only children have skin that white and soft over there.

I guess being covered in heavy clothing half the year, and thick sunscreen the rest due to our skin being so fragile, makes a bit of difference.

Kiwis are a tough resilient bunch . The Māoris were not to be messed with back in the tribal war years . Watch them play Rugby and it becomes clear .

No doubt. The Maoris, the Samoans, all those guys are badass.

The Kiwis that visited here started out as white as me. You'd never know it if we'd laid our arms side by side though. The colour and texture difference was huge.

That sounds like torture.
I guess whatever we're not used to sounds hard to navigate.
Pretty sure your winter would be tantamount to torture for me,
esp. as I start to get older. It can certainly get oppressive down here
in the summertime, with humidity in the 70 and 80% range and
temps locked into the low to mid 90s (32-36C) for weeks at a time
but beatin' the heat is what wading for shoalies is for!!
