Woke up to the smell of smoke. Looked outside and the sun is an orange glow through the thick haze. From horizon to horizon, only smoke

After a couple weeks of east winds, it's now blowing from the north.
All the fires are to the north and the west.

Special Air Quality Statement
Issued at Tue 8:32 AM May. 16
................
If you have an HVAC system in your home, use the highest rated MERV filter for your system (ideally rated 13 or higher) and set the fan to recirculate air constantly. You can also use a portable High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) air cleaner. Keep your doors and windows closed if the temperature in your home is comfortable.
................
If you must spend time outdoors, a well-fitted respirator type mask (such as a NIOSH certified N95 or equivalent respirator) that does not allow air to pass through small openings between the mask and face, can help reduce your exposure to the fine particles in smoke. These fine particles generally pose the greatest risk to health. However, respirators do not reduce exposure to the gases in wildfire smoke. It is important to listen to your body and reduce or stop activities if you are experiencing symptoms.

Been a lil over a week …..woke up in middle of night with biggest jaw/teeth issues I’ve ever felt. wtf was going on?
took me 1-2 hrs at least from then to even sleep

the next 4 days I was taking pain reducer ( advil/aspiri/Tylenol) + rso + smoking weed + switched sensitive toothpaste + bought sensitive teeth mouth wash + bought allergy pill + bought dry mouth tabs ( mouths also so dry I got to constantly drink water or - dry) & teeth/gum pain gel ( only used first 4 days , stuff is bad for ya)

everyday i was waking up every 30 min to hr and being crazy jaw/teeth pain with surges of pain so bad I was practically blacking out from it. I called my dentist and she wasn’t confident it’s teeth ( trust her and appreciate that) so she suggested go to regular dr first? She suggested looking into allergies and if it is teeth dr suggest call her back. Np

went to urgent care and they were the laziest fuck heads I’ve ever seen, not only did they ask me less than 10 questions which had nothing to do with my issues and try to push me out like it’s nothing. I was smart enough to do shit tons of research in what possibly it cou;d be the factors. Every thing I was doing they agreed to but also were like “ yeah u should do that, makes sense” but sad part is imagine all the patients that need help or are not “socially pushing” as me and pushed the nurse/dr to cut ally do shit. Shoot u coild tell they didn’t even want to hear it and also they didn’t even care I was telling em how much pain and wanted at least some what of a answer , not “ I don’t know”

only answer i got was my teeth wasn’t infected…… shoot my teeth/jaw were sooo sensitive and on fire I couldn’t even put my mouth guard in at night… tried every night but would wake up in pain… crazy pain

anyways I slept for 12hrs both last two days and I’m finnaly feeling better and teeth not on insane pain. Shoot I couldn’t even eat anything warm or too cold or a crazy flare of pain everywhere…. shoot I was sooo worried it was gonnea get worse or never go away ….

sooooooooo thankful ?

This probably isn't it, but I was in Oklahoma one winter attending a 3 week training class for work. Another student from LA was experiencing some similar symptoms to yours. I felt so bad for him.

One night I was talking to my mom on the phone, and mentioned the hard time this chap was having. My mom didn't hesitate at all, she said "tell him to open his window at night", claiming the heater was drying the air in his room, causing sinus issues that were being felt in his teeth.

I felt real sheepish relaying her advice, but still passed it along. The guy tried it, and his problem went away the first night!

I'm thinking you probably don't have your furnace running, but if the ambient air is a little on the dry side, it might be worth a shot to try sleeping with a humidifier in the room....

Back before we had grandkids and there was a scintilla of hope that Hugh and Mrs. Hugh could relocate out of Georgia,
we flew out to Missoula, MT to scope it out as a possible landing spot for us. We got off the plane to a scene just like
what you describe here. Orange glow, thick smoke, horrible smell. Was like that the whole visit, and we scratched
Missoula off the list right then and there. CO, too, as we almost moved to the Springs, until our friend there started sending us wildfire updates.

Doing a little rain dance for you down here, but 2400 miles may be too far for my powers to reach...

‘thanks for the suggestion but my bedroom and every living room has a air purifiers (air omega 400) also in it and I have 3 dehumidifier just for the house cause my houses normal rh is 60-75% if not dehumidified, I set it for 55-60% and still have em run 50%+ time. granted my veg room is down there and basements in my region also are humid. My guess ur in a very dry area and no basement ?

air purifier I’m using, I did a lot of research and this model won year after year and after I got one within 6 months I got 4 now. Been 4 years and wouldn’t ever go back . Having a system that can remove so much in air and know when to change rates of air is amazing but also it’s effectively doing it is amazing .the filters are cost effective and def do a good amount of area no prob

I was opening all windows after chickens put outside since I had over 6 weeks of chickens growing up in the house and my house was crazy dusty… it took me hours to clean that up and now they are living in garage in a plywood box with a led over em. soon they will go out to final coop

i did noitce that being away from home or even in my grow rooms, the throbbing was going away or even not there. I was wondering is it because I’m standing up and teeth aren’t close but the pain reduction so crazy def made me confident it had to do with allergies ( nose wasn’t runny but that’s not always the case ), this is why I bought allergie pills ( never took em before)]

i am running my hvac system on allergy mode and since it has merv 13 filter and uvc installed that’s a huge thing also. Glad I did it when it was installed cause once ur coils are contaminated good luck cleaning em, having a uvc next to it def defends even when hvac isn’t running.

Try to ensure you are breathing through you nose.

Edit - inhale and exhale.

As far as what was on my mind. Why (G##gle) am I being shown a picture of an egg carton with 10 eggs?
