Just a few pics from todays Football match I attended . It had been a few years so the son and I grabbed a couple tickets . Was a decent day until it was time to walk to the stadium , then it rained . Was reconciliation week where we payed respect to the traditional owners of the land . I love the sound of the didgeridoo . I can’t even explain why . Over the footbridge to the Adelaide Oval stadium. All in all it was a nice night and a solid game . My Team won so we went home happy .

We too are finally and slowly starting to get our shit together in our relations with the First Nations. Still a very long way to go, but you have to start somewhere.

I understand now as I matured I guess to recognise the struggle our Aboriginal people have at times . They wear a lot of negative opinion . Some is warranted but a lot is not .
The people on the land left alone are obviously the true representation . Not what we’ve tried to make them with white mans ways and culture .

I used to enjoy speaking to a lot of those old veterans a while back when there were still a few around . Not so much about their experiences but the humility , grace and respectful way they held themselves spoke volumes of that generation . They truly were a generation of true class and resilience .
It maybe goes unnoticed a little but you look at an 80 year old from that time compared to an 80 year old from today even with living standards and medicine advancement and they showed the hardship and history in their faces and bones .
We may have advanced in technology but as a society we are no way as united as we once were .
Once again , just my opinion and yes I never went to College so maybe my wording could be better .
