Mate I’m trying to imagine what mix of terps would ever produce anywhere near it . You’d end up with the dog rolling in your weed

Lemon Skunk X Cheese (Chemdog X Cheese) X Meatsbreath ? :)
LOL I already have a Cat that likes bumping into some of the plants; Last year the one that smelled like Cat Piss and Skunk spray she was all over it.

"if you want to share these experiences, get yer ass out here and join me".

Agreed, pack a U-Haul :)

We have a common salt water catfish that has one nasty barb set behind the gills . I’ve never been done but apparently the pain is up with the best of them . They say to put the barbed area in as hot a water as you can take to relieve it

LOL yeah hot water is apparently the only way to go for some of those. I personally haven't been barbed yet either but I know, deep down, it's only a matter of time. I've gotten scraped by a dead Channel Cat and it did draw blood, but barely.

I have plans . I seriously wanna visit both the states and Mooseville in the next few years so leave the porch light on when I holla . I’ll be zig zagging as I go catching up with who I can . Got a mate I Tuna fished with back in the 80s in California so that might be a starting point .

That'd be sweet! I don't think you'll need a porch light around here though; Just follow your nose :)

Fn Convict heritage just keeps dogging us ?‍♂️. I’m the son of immigrants as well so officially I have no bloodlines leading back to the colonial days
So you aren't even a real gangsta? I'm so disappointed. They may let you in the country though. ; )

(I am going to conveniently forget this fact. The jokes are too much fun. ?)
I’ll bring cool souvenirs like Authentic heritage listed Boomerangs and Kangaroo scrotum wallets
Sounds good. All I have from your island is this authentic, one-of-a-kind, highly valuable artwork. ;)

Actually had that since the early 90's. Ex's best friend moved down there in the 80's and she brought us this when she came to visit.

Should have the print off edition number on the back somewhere lol
They actually do some pretty cool art . As usual though it gets mass produced for commercial reasons and gets devalued which is nothing new I guess .
On the convict gig I can’t recall ever being locked up in my life so I’m a poor representation of our culture . Kinda feel incomplete know you mention it ?

It's easy to do at home; get the shitiest powdered drink mix you can find and food that makes you wonder if it's legal and sleep on a "mat" with a toilet paper pillow.

I know very little about fresh water species . Are they Brown Trout ?
Rainbow. They're all planted at this point with lists of dozens of streams planted every other week during the open season. Snows up there 4-5 months a year. Fun to catch. I caught a Brown up there 50 years ago.

We stopped in an old hatchery that's more of a tourist trap these days

The large ones in the pond were 8-10lbs. No fishing allowed.

I’d love to tour the place and go through the whole process of spawning through to hatchlings and management through growth . Feed varieties , water temps , parasite management , protozoans , input of food to growth conversions etc . Wonder if any predators , birds etc are a concern ?

Here the DNR pisses and moans about Catfish eating them, but proper water conditions are key.

Feeding them is easy; pretty much any smaller fish or bug is good, though I think they feed them corn too.

For Channel Catfish the ratio is about 1 : 1.8 or 1.9, meaning for every 1.8 or so pounds of food you feed a Channel Catfish turns into one pound of fish. Depending on size, you can have 500 to 1500 Channel Catfish per acre of water.

Farm raised Catfish are easy to train so they feed them on the surface of the water with pellets, but really, if you have a wood chipper, they'll eat whatever can bleed.

I'm not as well versed in Trout though.

The only real predators are man. There are black bears but they don't fish. The real small trout are hatchlings born in the streams and there was no limit due to their size and no catch and release as most won't survive. The Dept of Fish and Game want's them removed as they don't grow any bigger. Many were full of eggs.

The hatchery displayed the process even though it's no longer producing fish for the streams. They use to haul the fry to the streams in metal cans on donkeys and then with small planes continuing today for hard to reach streams at higher elevations.

There are some hatcheries working on producing and planting the Golden Trout to it's natural range which is only at higher elevations. Where we camped along the East Fork of Bishop Creek it was about 8000ft.

The entire area is amazing. We will be returning?

According to the video description, The two ‘roos were having a biffo.
:ROFLMAO:

I know you guys think you speak english, but..........

(cool vid, thanks for sharing :) )
Well there you have it on the biffo front . Just watching our local news and a man in Western Australia was killed by a Roo today . The Cops had to shoot it to get to him . It’s rare but it does happen . I got bailed up by a buck years ago while walking at night out on a mining road . Was my nightly walk for fitness . The thing hissed at me and postered towards me . I shit myself and bolted up the road .

Back out on the river yesterday here in Middle Georgia. If you tuned in last time, I lost my lucky plug to a freight rain of a gar on it's maiden voyage. Dutifully, I asked Mr. Bezos to bring me another one, which he did... and I lost it, too. In another fish's maw, as well. Hooked up with a nice Shoal bass (estimated 18"), but had to get him back across a couple of rocky shoals, and I guess he scraped my 8 lb. mono over the rocks enough to create a soft spot. I got him up and out of the water, but when I went to lip him, he thrashed, the line broke, and off he went with my new Choppo still in the corner of his mouth. Are you kidding me? Maybe 10 casts, and another one's lost forever? Respooled with tougher line and requested Bezos to bring me 2 of the bastids this time. Fish love 'em so much they wanna keep 'em! ??? After that, the topwater bite went south, but got a few more on Watermelon plastics.

Weather's starting to cool off, now the rain will stop for a minute, the water will drop and get crystal clear, and it's prime Shoal Bass season down here. Tight lines, fellow angler/stoners!

Yeah, that one even made the news over here. What a shitty way to go.

I never know how to feel when someone is attacked by a wild animal they tried to keep as a pet. It almost feels like it was inevitable.
