Finally Friday

Broke out the Granddaddy Purps and tried the Funky Sweet Runt for the first time

Snipped a small bud off a couple days ago and left it on the patio table to dry quicker. Yum. She's still hanging in the garage, no stem snap yet after 5 days, drying slowly. Hope to jar her by Monday. In a couple weeks she'll be dynamite. That Funky/Sweet taste through a bong is nice. Gonna vape the last bit tomorrow morning. Yummy! AND she's seeded. Hermie. Thanksgiving Day 2 dozen of these will be planted. Just hope I can grow many more of these runts for my monthly auto harvest.

will also be planted Thanksgiving and the 25th of each month, Christmas as well?

In the little greenhouse but the weekend is here and time to get stuff done. I had been planning on growing GDP's this summer so having this and another red mom would be awesome.

I'll start taking the flashlight out at night this week and checking. I'd be real happy with 10+ females.

11 now, potted 2 new ones today

Obviously I've got the supplemental LED light set up. I have them on a timer for a 14 hr light cycle. On 4am - off 9am. On 4pm - off 6pm. Any cloudy or overcast days I'll run them all day. And no, plants do not grow well under these lights but it does keep them from flowering.

I have a couple 4 x 12" burples and had them in the little greenhouse and it stuck out bad at night like a growing ad. I don't wanna advertise so can't use them at night in the greenhouses.

Those 2.5 liter white soda bottles you ask? For clones. I can put air stones in them and 3 clones each. Lots of room?

on a pic from yesterday (92 day old seeded Magnum Flames auto). Looks like fungus. Technically she's a seed producer and smoke second. I may have to chuck seeds and toss her?

Large greenhouse barrel empty and a nasty like paste on the bottom

Nasty stuff. Gotta clean those every couple months. I didn't top it off last weekend as I was flipping the plants and planned on changing the fert percentages. I'll plan on sterilizing it in two weeks when I have bleach and it's almost empty again.

It's become apparent the Magnum Flames auto is susceptible to PM

even though I've never had it on any cannabis strains I've got it lurking here in the garden. All peas from Sweet to poll beans end up with PM. I've been spraying the Sweet Peas with Capt Jack's and no PM or any insect damage.

It's certainly not sold for PM treatment but it does seem to work, at least on the Sweet Peas for now.

It's a constant battle. Add in mice, rats, gophers, birds and squirrels and it's a wonder I ever get any plants to mature.

It's odd how a particular plant can catch your attention

even when it's a male. Keep in mind the NL #1 & 2 phenos were male. This came out of the Magnum Flames auto my F1's. My first grow of these resulted in 1 very nice reg female to 10 autos. This is the only reg from my F1 grow with 11 autos. This guy is showing the indica side of the Dragon Flames Genetics strain that fathered this unholy cross and just as with the first one no signs of PM. Same with Sweet Funky Runt, no PM.

Today is my last day of work

until Monday. Got it all nice and cozy under there. Yesterday I spent the day digging out that pipe, laying on my side with a hammer and trowel. The last couple inches I was just scraping it like cement so I filled the area around the pipe with water before I left. Should be a little easier to finish the dig.

Be a plumber they said. It will be fun they said?

Short day, sawsall broke cutting 2" cast iron pipe. Screw it, I'm done for the week and getting ready for tomorrow's fishing and packing all Direct TV internet and TV devices. All done with that con artist business. They keep raising the monthly rate almost every month. Call 'em on it and their operator out of India will explain in very broken English how costs have risen. Last night I hooked up a TMOBILE 5G. Way faster then Direct ever was and I'm sure they were slowing it down hoping we'd upgrade. Bastards.

So, found a couple males

3 of the GDPx (GDP X Magnum Flames auto F1). 1 popped Sept 27 and was topped once, the other 2 popped Oct 7. I count 4 females and the rest (10) I think are also male.

Another reason planting 2 dozen seeds at a time is important.

No males found in the regs

Yet. Flipped them the 18th. The frosty fun is about to start?

It's the 25th of the month and that means seeds get soaked overnight

12 Magnun Flames auto and 7 Funky Sweet Runt auto. Let's see if I can harvest several autos a month every month starting March 1st. 2022.

I have my fun? I'm very blessed to live where I do and a wife that doesn't indulge but encourages me to grow. She knows how bad my back hurts the majority of the time and how much cannabis helps me. A neighbor gave me that large greenhouse (8' x 16') before he moved a couple hours North last year. We spent many a night toking.

Developed a black Anglefish with emerald face 30 years ago after getting 6 gold fish. Took 5 years but a labor of love. I've been working this GDP reds for a couple years. Been one of my favs for a long time.

I'm pretty sure with 8 plants I'll get a nice pair or two. I'll photo eash individual plant tonight and see if there's something I'm missing. That corner of the greenhouse is shaded most of the day in winter and why those 4 are smaller then the rest. Just for a short time in the morning do they receive direct light like in the above photo.

Two perfect representatives of this cross and I had over a dozen to choose from. Have I mentioned the importance of planting lots of seeds yet? Just checking.

I'll be choosing another female from this batch as well as a reg GDP to cross with my favorite plant, at the moment.

The auto that's not an auto but carries the auto gene?

This I find exciting. No one understands except those doing similar. Can't wait to see what comes of these crosses. Like an impatient child I wait...

Today's to do list

1. Take down the Magnum Flames auto seed producer

Took all the tops off a couple days ago for seeds to plant. Good seed producer. She was the only F2 to be topped twice because of her rapid growth. Her smell is skunk but lite. PM is an issue with the pheno of this strain that I'll have to deal with going forward. Hopefully I'll get something out of the Sweet Funky hermie frosty af runt seeds to cross back in or at least continue to use it to create my GDP autos.

2. Pick GDP & GDPx females for the boys

They will both need 2 girls, one of each. I may end up without a GDP female to flower seedless but I have two GDP mom's and their clones for days so I'll survive.

3. Cut down the 2 autos not maturing

Just taking up space and nutes and generally just pissing me off AND move their sister

Into the little greenhouse to finish. The F2 Magnum Flames autos are 99 days old.

4. Plant soaking seeds

Soaked another 12 MF auto seeds last night just because. Soak 'em if ya got 'em, I always say.

5. Plant the clone

Gotta have goals or all I'd do is get high?

Last female GDP

Being a winter grow with approximately 10.5 hrs of light a day I know not to expect the buds to be near as large as if it were sunner but the colors should be stunning as the weather cools. We're already getting mid to low 40's at night and that should continue for the next several months. Usually mid February to March is when the night temps drop to at or near freezing but the greenhouses help protect the plants.
