Whats up with the BBC? Does not look like it plays well with others :D
Pretty sure it was a potassium lockout. I had calcium issues last cycle. It is super picky with everything. If I can't get it through the next cycle without issues it's getting tossed. Only reason I haven't tossed it yet, is because it was the only non mutant out of a pack and a half and it smells fucking nice.

Yeah I cloned the #1 from the testers to run again. Wanted to see if the intersex issue persisted after the seed plant. So far so good, haven't seen a single sac.
Man, this is great to know so thanks for doing that. My local friend (not on the forums) ran 3 from seed and got balls on 1 of them early flower (picked em off and never returned). As a favor to me he ran a handful of cuts from the one that showed intersex & they never returned on the flowering of those clones. Im feeling confident its just from the initial flower from seed.

I wasn't sure if I had missed some in early flower, or if they had popped back up midway through on the seed run since it ended up pretty packed. I cleared more lower growth and stuck it right in the front this time just in case.

I figured I'd give it at least second run and report back on it. Both my deputy and bridezilla threw a few sacs from seed, but never returned so I figure that one should do the same.

Just about doubled the silica and it hit 0.1 EC, bouncing between 20-30ppm on the 500 scale. Moved the pH (with Jack's @ 3-2-1.5) from 5.6 with no silica, to 7.0 with silica. I was using like 12-16 eye droppers of pH up for 8 gallons, now I only need like 3 eye droppers of pH down to get it to 6.3-6.4.

Also staked up the deputy because it was starting to lean over and fall out of the tent when I unzipped it.

Day 30 flower update. Pics kind of suck but I was in a bit of a hurry snapping them. Don't know if it's the Jack's, or the supplemental bar (or both) but it seems like these (especially the deputy) have much bigger and more developed nugs down past the tops at this stage. It almost looks like they are bigger on the dep now at day 30, then they are at the finish line normally.

We're just gonna ignore that BBC in the back lol, I'll be happy if it pumps out 1.5-2 zips tbh. I'll try flowering it one more time, but its getting tossed if it starts this shit again.

Could be both but I'm leaning supplemental bar. I've tried different nutes, Megacrop, VEG+BLOOM powder, GH Floranova, and now I'm back to modified Lucas GH3, with conservative PPMs. This run has deep red and UV supplemental strips, as well as far red initiator pucks. It's the most difference I've seen in 100+ plants especially this early on in regards to bud sites, development, and pre stacking.

I have noticed some differences so far with it that I like. More/longer secondary shoots up top to fill the canopy better, longer leaf stems that push out to grab light vs just being a bushy mess deeper in the plant. Upped transpiration rates a good bit too I feel like, they need water every other day in the 5 gallons right now, where I typically would go 3 days or so between watering in that size pot.

I was worried the single bar @ 30 watts wouldn't be enough to see any benefit but it seems to be doing a good job.

Great observations. I have far red and UV on full time and man do they like to stretch. Interesting, they are stretching towards the red and LED vs. the bare bulb CMH in the middle.

Are you or @Badmofo529 running the reds alone at lights out for short period? Or do you have the reds and the uv light on while the others are on and not separate.?
Deep red and UV on all the time. Far red initiator pucks only on 15 min after lights out. I didn't want to spend extra for the controller. But I think I can use timers if needed, like I do with the far red initiator pucks. First go at it, so it should look only get better from here after some experience. Let's not forget that although the CMH may have "UV block" glass, it's so intense that some UV has to get through. I have a strong gut feeling that the UV from the CMH and its overall "quality" spectrum is what gets the fuzzy trichs, and I started forming that theory cuz of your results from your 515 Sport Hybrid CMH/COB Led light.

I always remember Gunuity over at RIU referring to the CMH spectrum as God's night light. Not sure what he meant but never forgot it. Plus the guy that bought my black dog lights did so with the intention of mixing them with the CMH . I am working without the CMH on this round. Hope i am not disappointed but we have to test new idea's and spectrum's. I have all kinds of spectrum's on the new light and things are flowering very fast at the moment. Mr. Reds Citrus is really putting on a show.

You know Capt, in relation to that night light comment - it's one of the reasons why I decided to ditch the hood altogether. I think it's too concentrated. So that overall "glow" is what I'm after. CMH by itself doesn't seem to be the answer, but there is something about it that makes it a "more than supplemental" light IMO. I can't see running pure CMH though. So good thing it is efficient as it is at the low of watt (315) so we can mix n match. I just gotta watch out with the bare bulb cuz man that can brand a MF fast lol. Already melted a hole in a shirt

On that note - I haven't seen much discussion on CHPS (Ceramic HPS). I would like to know more about it. It's just that Eye Hortilux is the only brand out there with it and they aren't making it easy to just get the bulb and use with a generic ballast.

Mine are plugged into the same timer as the main lights. Since it has the blues too, I didn't want to use it after lights out. I kinda wish they put the 730's on a separate channel, but I see why they don't for ease of use. If I really wanted 730's on a different channel I could have done it but the qb18 was the easiest route and I was feeling lazy about it lol.

The grow light industry is like the wild west these days. Hard to keep up it is growing and changing so fast. I could not run a bare bulb :ROFLMAO: i have enough battle scars:ROFLMAO:
