My understanding is, rinsing with RO water will kill one graveyard dead! I think? :giggle: I attribute the demise of one to that.
I use blue lab calibration products.
$$, worth it to me. Only took me a couple $20 meters to look for something more dependable.
Storing probe, always use the storage solution.

I have to calibrate couple times a run.
I actually bought all my Bluelab stuff on bay.
Use to get new ph probe $45-50, I watch, outrageous now. I have spares.

Never buy a used ph probe or assume a used unit will have a good probe.
Accidentally bought one for soil, got excited, might use it.

I wonder if nute solution/ strength may play a factor?
Mine runs really clean, tried CS nutes, had build up/ slime and more money.
Seemed like it had a lot of N, not as much flexibility as my current nute.

I've been just been leaving mine in a jar of water, it's going on a year old, ran probably half that time. I have another probe. Yes all Bluelab products have gone up SIGNIFICANTLY in price the last few months. Guardians are breaking the mid 300s. I've been using GH calibration, but I just got a set of Atlas Scientific I think.

The one ebay guy has a decent price for the probes. It shows he's on vacation though.

I’m watching that one too. :giggle:

I’ve seen a couple used Guardians, but it’s a risk.
I got lucky, but I think it’s a good brand, holds up well. The probe is the weak link.
I’ve used the Combo, leave in the rez, same difference. Their cheaper and accomplish the same thing, just not heads up.
Probes interchange too.
Those handheld Tool Kit meters are handy too.
First thing I learned, calibrate, but don’t compare. :ROFLMAO:

Just picked up a combo meter for a great price. Will need it for other areas. Are you saying the combo meter and guardian don't read the same?

Hi, sound like you have it worked out, but if air stones interest you again, the Alita 25l is really quiet, a little vibration, running a 1/2 manifold with whips for stones.
Those viviosun ones are noisy and make real good heaters.
I’ve thought about running a waterfall, doesn’t seem necessary for me right now.

Hey guys, I guess this is why you flash your stuff?
Thanks for looking out, I agree, for sure.
You guys just holler “GET OFF MY LAWN”, not sure exact etiquette?
Don’t want to rut up anyone’s yard!:)

I’ve got a system and I have a few of the single site they sold cheap last year, in case I want to add or this?
I have an extra chiller, hmmm?
Take up a lot of room. :cautious:
Nothing beats rdwc for hydro to me. It’s not just the growth, crap, how much do we need:weedleaf:
Initially, I bought plain square buckets, but I think the components of the UC are really nice. Expensive, long term durability, with drain out feature, I’ll chin that bar!
Design needed tweaking, which is one reason I LOVE hydro, lots of stuff to mess with.
I copied (H) a modification to pull from both sides of the rez, bigger pump for better flow and more balance for monitoring, I love Guardians.
The f & d works too and a lot simpler.
I like it for solo’s.
Not my thread, but it seems like a lot of us bounce around chatting in different threads. It's all good content though, sounds like you know a bit about hydro too. Chime in bro ?

I have 2 Guardians a Combo and handheld pair.
Mine don’t synce up PH, EC dead nuts. Weird, even after calibrating?
I don’t worry about it.
I’m not real detail oriented, it’s really a reference point? They bitch pretty quick when their pissed.
Sometimes first timers don’t realize how fast things change, for the better too. That’s the fun part! Almost see it happening, (RDWC)

The UC RDWC (including DIY variants) is literally live action everything. I really like it.

I’m love messing with it, sorry, I never get to talk to anyone about this stuff, didn’t realize till now I wanted to.
Wife glazes over, kinda like I do when she talks about work.

Roots could have play there too. Roots definitely have a lot of control over the plant lol. Those random observations from years of watching hold some value amigo....... I'm gonna drop ya a link, I have two kits from these guys. They're FAE system is cool on these kits, it eliminates the need to fan the tub out a couple times a day, HEPA filtered too so less chance of contamination. Check out what they have, a lot of this is pretty easy to put together yourself. But I went the kit way when I started too. It got me on the right track right out of the gate

So I ordered that mushroom kit, can't let you have all the fun. Will I need anything else besides the kit?

I like seeing the open exchange of info & ideas, even if hydro is not in my immediate future I still enjoy the intelligent interaction. All good.

Which kit did you get? Does it come with spawn jars or bags? Either way you're going to need some spores buddy. I recommended https://docsdankseeds.com/shop because he's been taking care of me and he's a good dude. His syrenges always have a really high spore content too. I would also read up on proper inoculation techniques. Stay ahead of the game by doing your homework and you'll be fine, I can help you along the way too.

I ordered the Midwest Deluxe Spawn Bag Growing and Casing Kit, which they are now showing as out of stock.

They sent me links to instructions & videos that I have not really looked at yet since I expect delivery to be a bit slow. It does include 2 spawn bags.

Another obsession, cool.

Alright that looks like a good kit too. You're going to dive right into monotub techniques. Read brotha and then read some more. The risky part of tubs is putting them all together with your spawn, then don't open until fully colonized. If you can do that without contamination you should be set. Get yourself some spores to inoculate your bags. And you might want to look into grain for bags or jars in the future. I've been using a roaster oven instead of a pressure cooker to sterilize. Takes about 30 days to colonize grain so you gotta plan ahead for the next run.

The beginning of the spring lineup out for transplanting, looks like I am overdoing it as usual.

Some of these were slated for an indoor flip but they are so happy in the sun that I decided to turn off the tent until fall. It is fun to watch the way the plants reach for the sun when given the chance. Don’t need the heat from the lights so the tent will home the mushroom tubs for the summer.

Fun how much of this lineup are from forum friends. I like to think there is good karma attached to beans from friends. What we have so far:

From @Schwaggy P
5 Hell’s Hypotenuse
6 Hell’s Angel OG x Skunky D
5 Afghan Skunk

From @HydroRed
3 Citrus MILF

From @Dino Party :
4 BooBa
5 Black Light Fantasy x Black Lime Reserve now known as Rainbow Wiggler?

From @Useful
4 Chocolate Diesel

The only non-forum strain so far are 3 Gogi Pupils.

Additionally I am trying to reveg one of the indoor Bag of Oranges, one pheno was extra special. Hope it works but I will probably lose it now that it is moved to outdoors.

It is agonizing trying to decide what to run. I can’t resist, I want to try it all.

One of those will be selected for the showcase grow.
