If you slapped a wide cross-brace in there, you could arrest any floppy sideways action.

Congrats on the successful reentry run.
That new rig looks hot to trot. Very good work there.
I hope ot serves you well.

That's actually in the game plan now. I need some cross braces to mount more clip fans, as well as to attach a scrog net. Though, I may end up building a modular frame to handle the scrog. We'll see. This is definitely another test run, and will be an exciting learning round.

Been eyeing that xanadu fir quite a bit now . By the looks of your journal I am excited to see em ?

Likewise! I've never ran fem seeds before, but figured I'd make an exception due to the quality that katsu puts out.

Well, thanks for taking it in stride. Forgot who I was chatting with. I know you got this.

I do admire what you have put together there. That is solid tech., and it looks to tick like the clock.
20 stations, or Two : that rig will fill a tent.

Fem beans are the opposite of mislabeled plants.
For me, without an identity, nameless plants leave the inner ring of endearment. The magic fades.

A Fem bean is a rough and ready Milf. Soaked proper, and pertinently propositioned,,,,
They put'n out.

Blast 'em Coste !

Thank you! It's weird the shit that came back to immediate memory during this run. It's like riding a bike. I scraped my knees during the first round, now it's time to get serious and hit that ramp homie built. Having the confidence of greater growers than I means the world. I appreciate you, Jewels.

I realized something during today's heavy lift. My veg closet isn't ready yet. I gotta figure out ventilation and temp control. Shit gets out of control if it's closed and I can't keep the door open at night because we all know how bright grow lights are. Some new issues to address. So, the tent will be where things start life for a few weeks.

On that note, here's where we are for confirmed germination:
0/3 Bangtin Mas (Prayer Pupil F2 X Aculpulco Gold)
0/4 Tangie 99
0/4 Cali Hemp
0/4 Bottle Wine
0/4 Love Stash F2
4/4 Blackberry Moonshine BX1
0/5 Nothing F1

Was getting concerned I fucked up the rockwool, but if four have made it, we're on point. Others are just slow. Hell, the BMS male I have outside, that I haven't watered in a month, is still kicking! Dude just won't give up the ghost. That's a testament to those genes if anything. It's just a weed, mkay.

Just a quick morning update:

3/3 Bangtin Mas (Prayer Pupil F2 X Aculpulco Gold)
2/4 Tangie 99
0/4 Cali Hemp
3/4 Box Wine
3/4 Love Stash F2
4/4 Blackberry Moonshine BX1
0/5 Nothing F1

Not bad for the first run of rockwool. Hoping that Nothing pulls through and provides at least two seedlings. I'm also debating moving the sprouted cubes to a separate container for hardening off while the other late starters have the comfort of high humidity. Everything's lookin good so far otherwise.

Another update, easier just to list the things out.

2/4 Box Wine - mislabeled this in the previous update

4/4 Blackberry Moonshine BX1
0/5 Nothing F1

This is a Cali Hemp. Looks like it ripped its head off while trying to emerge PXL_20200922_235453889.jpg

Will try to be more consistent with the photo updates this round. No promises, though.

Been a while since I updated this. I know, I said I'd do better, but I'm also hella busy and make promises that don't pan out.

The long and short of it is, nothing was chopped some time ago. She started to get eaten up by bud rot, and after checking a few of the turtles, the pollen had taken and she produced some progeny. The strain lives on, and that particular cut now survives as a clone in the f&d.

Now, the f&d... That was a damn adventure to build. I split the first tub while trying to cut the holes for the fittings, and had to go get another one. Problem was, target didn't have the same container so I ended up with this tall bitch. It's working out for now, though I may end up trimming the sides at some point.

I've also filled up the bottom some with hydroton and put some gutter shit-catchers on top as hydroton floats and the rockwooi needed to be up out of the remaining solution between floods. Also had to make some 'hats' for the cubes because algae was taking hold.

Right now have the timer set to flood for 30 min ever six hours, with a 12 hour gap in overnight, so flooding 3 times a day. Feeding at ~800ppm, letting the pH float from 5.0 to 6.2 before adjusting. Also running ~15ml/gal of pool shock to help keep things sterile.

The babies are starting to take off well, and most have been topped twice now. Some are showing rust spots on the leaves; thinking probably due to some pH issue last week.

Hoping to be able to take clones in another week, and get the tent fired up again, which still needs a few more tweaks before the next run. Minor shit though, so not sweating it much.

The lineup right now is:

- Xanadu
- BMS
- Love Stash
- Cali Hemp
- Box Wine
- Tangie 99
- Nothing

I lost the bin mas in the process of getting the f&d built, which sucks. It's all good though, as Xanadu is another 13 weeker, so will still be able to pull some nice fire once she's big enough to take clones from. Xanadu are also fem stock, so worst case I can just take clones, through em in the tent and let er rip.

The closet is gonna fill up quick at this rate (cali hemp is a big, fast growing variety) so I'll need to sex and thin the herd sooner than later. Figure I'll do that with clones. Take clones, get em rooted, as soon as roots hit, throw em in the tent and sex em. Cull the males, keep the females, and run the sexed female clones, keeping the best moms for now.

Anyways, here's some pics:

Have you run the Xanadu before? I just dropped one a couple days ago actually

Soooo.... things are getting a bit hectic in the closet. culled a male, so down one BMS. Wish I could keep males right now, but it's just out of the question. This a phenohunt gotdammit!

Moved the Xanadu out from the middle of that cluster of foliage so it had some room to breathe. Poor thing had its leaves perked straight up, like it was both reaching for the light and seeking out any fresh air it could in that jungle.

Also realized a fatal flaw in this design that has to be remedied immediately. Upon removing a plant, I have no way of taking all its roots with it. That means, i'll have dead roots sitting in the media. No bueno. So to the grow store tomorrow to pick up some enzymes in hopes that they work as good as the forums say, and hopefully I'll find some that play nice with pool shock since that's what I'm using to keep my res dead.

Oh, I took a clone of Love Stash (Pheno A) as she was the first to show sex. Waiting to see how she roots, then will pull a couple more in 2" cubes and get the tent running again. Still a bit of work to do on it.

Need to sterilize the system in full, upgrade the air stones, get the last light hung, get the ballasts mounted on a board, and hung on the wall, set up power for them with a timer, get a timer set up for the pump to run every other hour, get the netting stretched across the scrog frame and the frame hung in the tent. Not much more, but it'll be a busy weekend again.

Picture time.

First clone placed into site 1. Also showing the lighting configuration for this run. We'll see how it does. Running right over 500w if my math isn't failing me. Need to get clone #2 in the mix too, which requires cutting it and getting it rooted. Probably should get on that haha.
