I was recently asked about the smell of these and it's grapes and berries. It's very grapey but not overly nor overly sweet, just grapey BUT there's also a berry with the grape and in the same way not sweet or artificial. Grapes and frickin berries and in my mind couldn't be better but we'll hopefully see what a GDP x Gorilla Hammer turns out as well as a GDP x BBHP. Can't wait?

We catch [caught, past-tense because the chickens have decimated the crawly population here] a ton of slugs and snails.

I got a rooster or two if you're interested... meet you in Gorman?
I gotta 8x8x8 coop and an 8x8x5' tall attached pen but it's 30' from and overlooking our bedroom. Not a chance in hell would a roster survive one mirning? But ya know what, I believe there's several of us who might be able to swing a Gorman hook up. Seeds and even smoke can be exchanged. It's a thought, maybe spring or summer on a weekday. It could happen, maybe. 3 hr drive, 6 round trip. I've been trying to convince the wife to go camping at Lake Isabella. That would be a perfect time.

My wife has been pretty sick these past 2 weeks. Worried I might lose her a couple times. The past 2-3 days she's finally feeling better and eating. Don't tell anyone but I'm madly in love with her and I need her so I've been a little outta sorts and leary of what the future might hold. Ugly. But she is on the mend, eating and wants tacos for dinner? Life can kick ya square in the balls sometimes but yeah, would love to figure a way to make this happen, Maybe even annually?

Dude, I love the repurposed shower pans. I worked for a dude doing granite countertops and showers. I'm down to my last shower pan!
I'm growing in coco and it's waste so I direct the waste water. I've got 3 bathtubs about 25 gallons each I need to set up along the lg greenhouse which is 16' long. I could float foam on the nute water and grow lettuce in baskets all winter long. I've been threatening to set them up for several years nows. One of these days?

Canna-bacchus incarnate
I've tried all of those diy slug/snail ideas and none worked except copper. A dozen cans buried with stale beer caught 1 snail. One. Egg shell didn't seem to do anything but I didn't make the pile very tall or thick. Cory's

works great at keeping slugs/snails from eating seedlings and stopping them from propagating but it does need to be refreshed monthly. Between the snails and rats I've lost literally hundreds of seedlings through the past few years?
I've heard it said that, if you have a slug problem, you merely have a duck deficiency. Seriously, those guys could are the ultimate slug protection. If you can't have a duck, a more practical approach is to take some strip some scrap electrical wire and wrap it around the base of the stem a couple times right at soil level. I did this outdoor and had ZERO slug issues, and my grow is in the middle of slug heaven. The previous year I had no protection and it was a god damn slug buffet all summer.

Yeah, I use to make wire strips 14 gage to put around the stems about an inch away. It does indeed work but when I've got 30+ plants in the sm greenhouse it's just way easier to use the pellets?

So what I'm saying is, repurpose evrything!

Mother's Milk ?
20221219_183349.jpg
Got a busy morning.

Gonna let the purple plant go until Saturday which marks 10 wks
20221219_170046.jpg
I've never let one go much past 8 wks. Depending on trich colors I may let her go to 11-12 weeks. This should be a sleep getter?

Still getting flowers

I can't believe I've still got these girls producing. First frost will turn them black?

Now that looks like an indica cross. She'll be 8 wks this Saturday.

Mother's Milk ?
20221219_165930.jpg
7+ weeks. I'll let her go 10 minimum. Her sisters sitting on that black water heater pan went 10 and are very nice. I rolled one up last night and it did the trick. I'll be rolling J's half mom's milk and half GDP or half BBHP. Creamy grapes or berries is delish. I went through 40 grams last time within 3-4 wks and damn were they good! Also have some Gorilla Hammer ? I'll mix some together as well. That has been my go to smoke this week? a hell of a strain to wake and bake with?

Is looking good and on track. I'll continue making room and moving out other strains keeping cuttings in solos. Shooting for a Jan 31st flip date, just depends on plant growth. Hopefully we'll continue to get sunny days?

Every grow I'm experimenting with something and every grow is different. For me it is due to growing outside. I can't control the amount of sunlight or for the most part, temperature. So every grow is different to some extent. You sure can learn about a strain growing it like this through the years. I think that's one of the coolest things about growing outside 24/7/365. Actually just having that opportunity is pretty amazing and wish I had known sooner.

This round I've got several moms that turned into bushes. This Gorilla Hammer ?

I count 14 tops within the upper canopy. Just flipped her on the 17th so on the 1st she'll be 2 wks with a mid February, dead of winter harvest.

It's been awhile since I've grown a bush and now, due to the time of year and colder days then normal I've got some cool little bushes. Here's a Captain's Candy

A Black Abyss ⚫️

Although she is starting to stretch after being moved to the unlit corner pan. Both the Abyss and the Captain's Candy have 8 tops within their upper canopies.

And a BBHP

Not as bushy as the others but I'm gonna take more cuts before flipping her. I ❤️ this Blueberry plant.

This is how clones grow here outside/greenhouse and how they'll grow for the next several months until the days become longer.

During the majority of the year plants grow faster and taller, hardly ever bushy like these above.

Granted I could wrap the greenhouses better, I do have the seed/cloner box that does raise the temp in the sm greenhouse about 8-10 degrees and would be more if I wrapped the house better. And I could add actual grow lights instead of 9 watt LED's with the defusers removed.

I could do all of that but then I wouldn't see all of these variations. I had plants last winter that produced airy buds. With only 10 hrs of sunlight, little of it direct or for many plants through a film or greenhouse wall/ceiling some didn't develop properly. I now know to cull those plants.

When I first got the lg greenhouse my wife was worried about the expense of all of those things that would allow me to control more variables and I assured her at the time we would be growing as natural as possible and winter would be broccoli and Brussel sprout and cabbage, etc. And other then the pumps and minimal LED lighting and aquarium heater we spend very little to grow my weed, and now hemp too and we may be willing to spend more to produce more and better quality hemp in the winter, we'll see as well as all the aforementioned vegetables we love.

So for me, while the basics remain the same, every grow has its own variations but I'm learning to roll with them all which makes this hobby even more fun?

Tracy is on the mend but still very weak so I'm home today. Gave her a THC/CBD sauve foot, calf and knee rub and she's sleeping again.

Time to roll up another Mother's Milk ? Damn is that a good one?

Very happy with the progress but I want to make everyone aware of some deformities
20221222_154928.jpg
20221222_154949.jpg
This is the worst and the only reason it's still alive is I've kept it that way, and snails didn't get it?
This one and this one

Will Not be used in the breeding program. This has been an issue sine I first grew this strain. I haven't used any that started out like these for any breeding program. I'm trying to breed it out, if possible but my limited plant genetic background is admittedly weak. I can only go with what I've learned over decades of tropical fish production, developing a black Anglefish with a tortoise face and several green Simise fighting fish, or Bettas. It took years but the genitics where there and visible. Pheno hunting it you will. So how much more complex can plants be? Can't be any more difficult.

So here's the boys and girls that will be producing the seeds you all will be welcome to? coming up next.

The clones
20221222_155053.jpg
Now here's the thing with the clones... I didn't breed the 2 plants the clones are from for a reason. They were not my A1 females but I did find them worthy of keeping and cloning so there's that?

But just so you know there are issues and why I will do my best to send out 2 dozen to pop and search through. I would HATE to have anyone pop 3 seeds and get 2 deformed and a male?

K? Just so you know. Otherwise...
