But seriously, no one would allow their grow room to get this cold especially with seedlings. And trying to pop seeds takes weeks instead of days. They are surviving but not growing as they would if it were warmer. This is going to be a sunny week so hope the little ones start growing.

Got the autos hooked up

Removed one of the GDP moms and put her with the seeded girls. I don't need 2 GDP moms

But I do need to get a pan in here and hook up these three. L to R Tangie99, Gherry and GDP red. It's been so cold I haven't taken any clones.

If this were Sept I'd say another week to 10 days

but since it's frickin January 4th I'll say another 3 weeks with hope of bulking some. Difficult in this cold and 10.5hr light a day





Granddaddy Purple, 2 phenos. Flipped Nov 14, 51 days. They are both seeded by a purple GDP male

I will be growing the seeds this summer with an open pollenation orgy of red and purple and then making those seeds available. This is such a beautiful strain.

A smaller plant (20-30") compared to both the Indica and sativa I've grown the past few years.

Lovely look to this purple pheno

Wicked look on the seeded outdoor plant

Easy to grow, little stretch and beautiful in the cold. It's been getting into the upper 30's at night.

2 unseeded and very small

Half oz maybe each. Way too small for 130+ days. Not a good winter plant.

The taste test will determine how likely I am to plant the Gherry x Gherry seeds. The GDP cross is another story.

Finally got the shower pan repaired and under the moms


No drain hole yet but I've got a 3 day weekend. I'll also put the herbs in there for the rest of winter.

And a led light bar for the moms


The seedlings have been getting sunshine and warm 80's temps


Most looking good. There are two of the Whitebread

on the left and right leaves canoeing up having issue with nutrients. None of the other 50+ are showing any signs of problems so it's not worth lowering the nute percentage.

New Magnum Flames popped

That's #2 from the Dec 22 planting. An avg of 17 days. Gotta bring them in the house.

We're about 8 miles from the coast and we get some incredible sunsets

Weather is warming and growth is once again happening so you can see it. The adults are filling out and will be harvested sooner than I thought. There's so many flavors I'm gonna have a difficult time choosing my favorite although that grape fuel keeps calling my name?

It seems crazy to me that an auto can pack so much of a punch. I took a few tokes of this Magnum Flames auto

and man am I high.

I got about 1.5 oz, gave away a quarter and if I manicure what's left

I'll have a good half plus. Buds are hard and have to be cut up, grinder won't do the job. I rolled one up 2 days ago
Lit it up couple times each of the past 2 days and still have about half. Burns real slow and kicks my ass? Of course I'm taking bong tokes and filling pipes but joints usually don't last long around here and I've been known to suck down 3 or more in a good day? but this one? I keep putting it out after a good hit or two and here we are.

And what I find even crazier is the fact this one doesn't have near the great dirty dishrag/sweet flavor, mainly pine and earthy but the high is like a freight train. Horry sheet!

And crazier still I let this one go to 116 days and trichs never changed from opaque to amber, not one.

Now that I've got (a few??) some growing I'll have to allow one to just keep going to see if they'll ever turn amber and I'll definitely be looking for phenos like this girl in the Magnum Flames auto grows.

These continue to amaze me

This one is filling out nicely and will be the first one harvested. Seeded with the purple GDP male.

There's a prior post about this Magnum Flames auto x Granddaddy Purple in this log but needless to say, I'm really liking what I see here. Great uniformity and some great flavors. The old adage of accidental crosses being, for the most part, better then those that are planned, rings true here.

A close look

It's day 56, 8 weeks and all 10 can come down any time. Trichs are all cloudy and opaque with about 10% amber.

Early tomorrow morning this one will be hanging from the rafters of the garage.

2 more Magnum Flames autos popped

Day 17 since soaking so I finally moved the seeds inside

and planted 65 Chemgopher

Brutis OG male x Chemdawg female from a 2016 cross. I acquired several dozen seeds in June of 2016 and grew 3 plants, 2 females and 1 male producing hundreds of seeds. The plants all reached over 5' with a long stretch. I haven't produced seeds in a year and time to take them to F5 and make some fresh beans.

Lookin crazy but can't wait to taste that dirty dishrag/sweet flavor. If you'd have told me 2 months ago a dirty dishrag flavor would be awesome I'd have laughed pretty hard. Times change.

Sweet cherry smell

Since I first got a wiff of cherry from this girl and a sister about 10 days ago I've been excited to try them. Tomorrow morning she'll join the purple GDPx and a few small branches from a sister and a T99

Cherry tincture sounds devine?

Day 3

Granddaddy Purple

This girl was my last GDP in the large greenhouse

When the Gherry male started going purple

I knew I had to get her out there and make me some seeds

I also bred a Gherry girl with my #1 GDP male.





I'm flushing the plants each day with tap water. They're in 1 gal cloth pots and I saturate the pots until the water is running out the bottom and sides.

I inspect the plants for critter damage as I've had whole harvests with caterpillars and their shit throughout the buds. I use Capt Jacks Deadbug one time before flip and no more caterpillars. I still have some fan leaf damage by grasshoppers

but not a big deal. The plants have spend days in the rain so I'm not bothering to wash off before harvest. If we get some wind kicking up dust I'll spray 'em down but otherwise they look pretty clean.

3 down 7 to go. Isn't this fun?

Another Granddaddy Purple crossed with the Magnum Flames auto

Still have another 3 of these in this seeded group

This one was crossed with the purple Gherry (GG4 x Hyper Cherry Pie)

If these buds taste half as good as they smell and look I'm gonna be pretty happy



While the plants are small and buds airy compared to summers 14 hr warm sunny days the extra harvest is worth the effort to have fresh and new tastes cause I don't know about you but I burn out on the same weed day in day out.

Of course the LA Women

Will be hanging out another 6 or so weeks. Haven't shown sex yet, should be in a few days. These are the youngest plants I've ever flipped. 6 weeks from seed pop. Keeping an eye out for nanners.

The Tangie99's have really impressed me these past few weeks


While not frost monsters they've grown well in the fall/winter conditions. My first time growing this one. No nose yet. Hopefully she'll finish well and be my new favorite sativa leaner.
