There's 7 White Bread autos popping. I'll get some half gal pots ready. Seeds soaked 12/15. Toof Decay x Bobby's Widow isn't in any hurry. That reptile hot rock is keeping the tray about 70F when in the garage and wrapped up in a couple beach towels.
I had to make a change
Rats would have mowed those seedlings down like I eat tacos so I put them in a clear dome for protection. I've got a round florescent light a few inches above. They should be fine until I get home and pot them up.
The Magnum Flames auto is finally starting to dry
It's been a week since chop. I clipped 4 smaller stems a couple days ago
and have been trying to dry them quicker. Should be ready to taste tonight.

I'm thinking this is going to be the best cross I've ever made.

Is getting long in the tooth and beginning to fade. He never fully recovered from being knocked down by last weeks storm because of his age. It's time to take him and the rest of the males down which will be #1 on my weekend to do list and save some pollen?

And I found 3 more Magnum Flames from the 11-25 planting
It's time for Dental Assistant x Bobby's Widow to join the party and since it's been taking longer for seeds to pop in this cold weather I'm having a seed soaking party
Besides DA x BW there's 6 Funky Runt autos and 12 Magnum Flames autos which means the LA Women
needs to get moved off my main tray. Planted 11-3, 6 weeks old other then the 2 up front. I've got a shower pan I need to install in the little greenhouse in the next few days.
Today was my last work day of the week so it's time to put on stretchy pants and wear nothing but until Monday morning. I like 4 day weekends.

10 out of 10 Whitebread's popped. Batting 1000%. I know they're hard to see in this jungle but I'll move those LA Woman soon.

The squares on the front left are the rest of the Toof Decay, the round discs are the 6 Funky Runts, middle are 9 Dental Assistant and the right is 12 Magnum Flames.
If I was a bettin' man I'd lay odds the other 5 of those Toof Decays will be popped in the next couple days.

Chopped on day 116 on Dec 14. 42" tall topped once. Smells like dirty dish rag and sweet. Maybe 1.5 oz after all is said and done. 4 months is too long a wait but I really like this strain. Actually for a fall/winter grow I can't complain too much and her sister was done is 90 days.

6 of 7 seeds popped, 1 never grew and was pulled and another was flicked out of its pot by a water line and there's one more that's stalled and needs to find a composter. Mom was a hermie and produced 24 fem seeds. I will be replacing this "strain" in the coming months and will not be breeding but the mom rocked my world so I'm gonna grow out these seeds and enjoy them.

Here we go again
It seems the rain and wind was worse last night/this morning compared to the last storm but only these 3 took a fall. Nothing broke, they'll all be fine after a little sunshine which we're getting a little of this morning but I see dark clouds in the West at the coast.
Spent some time is the little greenhouse yesterday
Moved the 3 moms to the South/East corner and spread out the plants on my main tray
The seedlings will get hooked up Sunday after a few days on quarter strength MasterBlend. System has half strength.
Those in the big greenhouse are progressing

I'm thinking of pulling one and moving to the little greenhouse and use as a mom. I need a good sativa for daytime meds and I'm getting low on my last harvest of Chemgopher (Brutis OG x Chemdawg).

6 weeks since flip. It is slow going with only 10 hrs light a day or less so the indica's will take longer then their normal 8 weeks and I expect those T99's to go another 6wks minimum.
Rain on and off is the forecast for the next 2 weeks. I hate that but we will (should) get periods of sun. We just had a good 2 hours of sunshine but the dark clouds are now overhead and the rain should start again soon. The fun of outdoor growing?

Got some 37 autos going and there will be more. The whole idea here is to plant 10-12 autos seeds a month, whittle down the males and weaker females and harvest 3-5 plants each month but first I've got to make seeds and that's where most of my attention will be in the coming months.
Today is the day for the males to be harvested. I'd like to leave them another week or two but it's been almost 6 weeks together and rain is in the forecast for this week and I don't want to pull them down wet.

GDP will be the focus strain for 2022 and I plan to have multiple red males and females open pollinating on the back 40 come June.

These are a cross of Granddaddy Purple red female
witn open pollination of three Magnum Flames auto males
The cross was not planned. I start tomatoes in March in 3" pots and a GDP came up with a tomato seedling
You can see the color which identifies her as a GDP. I potted them together and moved to the garden. I have gophers so I can't plant anything in the soil without chicken wire buried under it and the wire only lasts one grow hence the pots these days.
So I was making Magnum Flames auto seeds this summer in the garden and when the GDP turned out to be female I left her to be pollinated. I would have clipped a male.
The resulting F1 seeds got my attention
These were the two nicest and although they never bumped uglies the color, overall structure and speed of growth will be what I am looking for in the coming F2's as well as that auto gene. I flipped these before any showed sex but hope to see 20+/-% autos next generation.
While I've been working that red in this GDP line the past couple years an accidental pairing has produced one interesting cross. Hope the smoke still has that grape flavor but it will be interesting to see how those plants that produced that dirty dish rag/sweet taste will mix with grape?
Probably a month away from finding out.

An odd thing about this cross is just how uniformed the plants grew
Not expected on the first mix and I started enough seeds to take note.
These were planted Sept 3 and popped Sept 10. Aboit half showed the red coloring. The three others in the large greenhouse do not display the red color. The two topped plants seeds popped Sept 27. 2 weeks difference in age but all flipped November 14.
Note: no hermies with 9 wk age at flip
(currently watching LA Women at 6 wk flip)

Another interesting trait of the red phenos is the structure and color of some leaves

She is displaying the red/purple color of a shared lineage. Gherry which is a GG4 x Hyper Cherry Pie cross has GDP from the cherry and Afghani runs through the genetics of several of the strains used.
Note: I have crossed this GDPx with GDPx, GDP, Gherry and Magnum Flames non-auto. The MF auto is the cross that started it all. Harvest will be within the next month.

Damn...they would call the SWAT team out on me for that many plants...open up Alcatraz again just for me....lol...and I have no neighbor's per say...cows horses coyotes...but it's still Virginia.
