Raven's Nest

Raven told me in private the WC pollen didnt take. My apologies friend. I do my best to provide the substance in a scientific methodology...maybe i need to re-examine the procedure. I am sorry again.
you have nothing to apologize for buddy. lots of factors involved, not easy job at all. i havent had too many unsuccessful pollinations, but they happen. could've been me for all anyone knows. much respect for putting the work in in the first place. not everything goes perfect in lyfe:passjbuds:

I don't think I've ever had a chance to sniff ECSD; Is it Skunky ? I imagined it would be gassy given the name, but, I've also learned that the name of something doesn't imply it's smell every time either.
tbh at first this cut smells like actual sweet and sour food from the chinese take out at first. it morphs into something similar to chemdog, just slightly more refined. like a chem4 vs D... or something. not like rezdog's D from way back, or the uglier cut of SD that everyone says is AJ's.... (I think ECSD also came from AJ). hard to put words on a palette thing. but i know without a carbon filter i have truly ruined my quiet rep with the neighbors.

I was stopping by and saw your name and avatar, love it! I do raven rescue and currently have two but this one is a leucistic raven. She was the third of a three egg clutch her mother (who was gunshot and I rescued) had. Stinky Girl couldn't keep up with three babies so Leucy Liu was starving to death and mostly white when she finally came to me. I've supplemented her food since then and she turned raven black. That's why it was so distressing that someone shot her, fracturing her ulna and radius. I rushed her to my avian vet and there she is with her external fixator enjoying her best life in my guest bathroom's shower.

Today being Sunday I bought her a Jack in the Box Chicken Strip and some ranch dressing. They love junk food. Shockingly she ate NONE of it!! But all her kibble. They are so finicky. She's doing so well. I'm praying her fracture heals. I do physical therapy to maintain her range of motion twice a day. I have hope she'll fly again.

So when I saw your name I had to comment. May I ask how you chose it? I love the seed packaging too, not to mention how great your plants look, nicely done.

Chem D is an all time favorite, which I've likely said countless times, but I've never had Chemdog #4 as of yet. I have a single seeding outside of it right now though, so, I'm excited to finally try it.

It's kinda sad how hard it is to find decent stuff without me growing it myself LOL. Chemdog I've had basically in a vape cart.....It was all I could get of it so I took it. Chem D I got lucky with a clone that hermied, and I kept the seeds and have ran through them for a while now. Chemdog '91.... I had it once, from a dispensary here, and it didn't even smell or taste like much (Dryer than my humor bro....) so I can't say how that is, as I refuse to think that was anything but grower error.

So far Chemdog 4 is smelling a lot like gas, though the Wife says it smells like oil to her. Reminds me of Motor Breath a little personally. Which is odd since Motor Breath has Chem D as a parent.

oh wow! someone shot her mom? how mean... and typical of the world today. glad to see she is getting good treatment and recovery time:) and she was white but now black? feel free to hmu on DM too, i am an animal rescuer as well.

the name and icon actually came from my ex partner... whether it be a mental flaw or artistic expression... the idea was to show how unique the genetics were. the skull... i flatlined a while back for a short blip, and i'm also from a not so nice area called skulltown. no more partner now, but since he has tanked four under-the-radar seed co's himself, i refused to ditch this one. thank you for the kind words!

ive had chem 4 and that bodhi? chem4 cross (sunshine something?). yea the chems are a strange mutant bunch for sure. i still can't verbalize the terp i get off this chem flower, just that it's "chem" lol. at first i swore up and down this batch was 91, now i can't see how it could be.

D - like road kill skunk but a lil messier smell. like the best awful smell you have ever smelt.
gg4 - like the sour d
ecsd - ... not sure sweet and sour food covers it, but starts out in late flower with loud tones of something like that. dries and cures into a refined chem91 kinda skunk with a limey kinda overtone. and very very smelly.

and just ftr, motorbreath was a selection from a large fem seed batch. just like wifi43, and so on. don't be surprised if crosses using cuts like these are slower, more hermie prone, and more touchy growing. same would apply to your chem D bagseeds i would think..

i've never grown 91 or Sister alone, and Sis might be gone gone. If anyone does have her, please lmk, if not for preservation purposes, do it for me?

I know I'm mainly known for my Cheese love, but there is a huge spot in my heart from Chemdog :) The actual Chemdog, I've only ever had as a Vape Cart sadly... I don't ever seem to find the real flower :(

Chem D as I said was mainly luck of the hermie LOL. But I've loved Chem D every time :) Mostly I get the one that smells very little at first, and then moves into a burnt rubber smell, and then after it's cured a while, the burnt rubber takes a back seat to this odd Lemon / Generic Citrus cleaning product smell. The only other one I've seen, was straight up bad breath / fecal matter.... And the taste is like fruity pebbles in milk that's gone off haha. Weirdest switch up of smell and taste, and I love it.

The Chemdog 4 I FINALLY have a chance at!!!!! A buddy on here sent me Chem 4 seeds he ran, and so far.... Oh man it smells SO good! Just a gassy like aroma that I love. Wife said it reminds her of straight up oil, and I can't really concur as I'm not sure what Oil smells like... I never thought to sniff it LOL.

Yeah Motor Breath can be finicky and a PITA, but it's usually worth it. The one I have access to, was bagseed from two clones I had. I ran them anyway to see what would happen and, honestly the results were good. It's pungent and covered in resin, and the high from a Motor Breath is ridiculous ! Not something you smoke a bunch of and then try to get a bunch done LOL. One of those need a ladder to scratch your ass kinds of weed haha.

I do see the hermie parts as you mentioned, but all in all, I'm good with that.

Chemdog '91 I've only ever gotten from a dispensary here, and sadly they dry that stuff out SO much... Barely smelled or tasted like anything. I refuse to think it was the strain, and likely is the grower that made that not smell like much. So I'm still holding out on my opinion on '91 just because I need a better representation of it before I form an opinion.

Yeah Chem's Sis bro... I haven't EVER seen that. Like at all. I know it was used in Gorilla Glue, and likely a bunch of others, but I've not personally ever had a chance.

chem's sis is supposed to be the diesel variation, and after running the GG4 cut we had years ago, then the ECSD again, i can absolutely vouch its the same funk. these varieties are a sharp change from today's bag appeal pretty-as-a-picture cannabis, and more heads need to step up and preserve them imho.

sending you a DM, plenty of chem around lately. working on getting my shizz together for F2s, and the goo!

Yeah I feel you; I cringe at how many Cheeses and Chems that have likely disappeared because no one saved any. Honestly it's the current reason I don't have a Susie Cream Cheese running right now; by my calculations, there's only one pack left and I need a permanent setup lol. Same reason I haven't popped the Cheeselicious fem seed I have; I'll cry losing that lol (Exodus Cheese X OG Kush).... I loved OG Kush every time I had some and Exodus Cheese... whew! Lol.

im less of a cheese knowledge base for sure... but pretty sure we have had authentic cheese here in the past, called it "smelly socks" weed i believe lol. never understood what happened in the origins of cheese, since MNS claims there was only 1 actual Cheese plant, that was never cloned. i've never looked into exodus or where that came from, but the original was supposed to have been a single skunk #1 plant. near entirely white nugs, with the obvious associated stench.

White nugs? I've actually not heard that part before. My understanding was the Exodus collective got a cut from the original Skunk pheno, and handed it out at raves, and that it smelled like sharp Cheddar, though I haven't ever had a chance to sniff a real cut sadly lol. The socks thing is funny lol, closest I've seen ty that was dirty feet early on in a cross. Man that would be sweet though did you try any?

i smoked plenty of the smelly socks weed lol, with respect to the sour and chem lines, def one of the stinkiest varieties out there. cherry pie is on that list as well. anyway... until the goo and these OG S1's get out of the boring phase, we can go cheese here... pasted from another place i won't mention here, with respect to red, staff, and forum rules.

It's not like the LGA are going to start accrediting 'Cheese' to some twat at a clone club... Now is it"

As far as I know UK CHEESE was selected from Skunk#1 seeds I made. They were bought from Neville, taken to the UK and CHEESE was a clone selected from the grow.
No one bred a CHEESE, it was selected from a Skunk #1 grow.
I got this from the guy who bought the seeds, took them to the UK, named it CHEESE, and the rest is history.
Also I can guarantee CHEESE is a pure Skunk #1, the first time I smelled the UK CHEESE clone I said it was pure Skunk #1, I met the grower later and he confirmed it to me.

The History of The Cheese by Big Buddha

The Cheese is a very unique plant, until now, available as clone form only, Originating, and still growing around the U.K and now, Holland, this 15 year old variety has been the leading dominant strain in the history of the underground British Indoor cannabis scene. I obtained this specimen three years ago, the person who gave this to me is a much respected person within the industry named Zorro, but I also did some more research and found out and spoke to some of the founders of the cheese and they told me about all about the cheese.

Background.

At around 88/89 these guys planted some skunk no1 and put the females outside, not knowing too much at the time they cloned off one particularly special plant which was named after by another mate cheese due to its all pervading stink.
Then around 90 the guys started to go to the free parties put on by the Exodus collective based in Luton, meeting up with other growers and was soon sharing stories as well as knowledge, this was how we teamed up to grow the cheese at HAZ manor, the collectives housing co-op in Luton, Exodus were taking a lead role in fighting prohibition at that time and the manor was a persecution free zone, the manor inspired loads of people to start growing and cheese cuttings were flying out of the door for a few years.!

Unique.
The Cheese is the number one strain in the U.K. its distinctive, Old School taste is unique to the cannabis world , when you smell the Cheese you will be drawn in by an array of fruity, musky, hash /skunk undertones people who tasted the Cheese will always remember the smell, Very odorous
Grown indoors and outdoors this plant can finish in very respectable times, outdoors, expect a finish at the end of October/ start of Nov if planting outdoors please be wise with the planting spot because later on there will be a smell of terrific pot later on that season
Indoors, the cheese will finish between 7 to 9 weeks (although I have some cash croppers who grow hydroponically and will cut down every 6 weeks!). My preference, in Bio, Soil, the plant will be lovely and ripe within 50 up to 65days depending on personal preference, as long as the conditions are good. I must also recommend using charcoal filters on extraction fans especially in urban/ built up areas, thats my smell warning! Dont say we did not warn you!!
