I have a shitload of cast iron pans, but I find baking bacon on the broiler pan, makes almost perfect bacon strips (like in your picture) and in the pan, while they are still tasty but not anywhere near as symetrical.
When we do pan fry bacon it's either cast iron griddle or the #9 skillet if there's more than a pack. Then we also save that grease for future frying other stuff ..mainly eggs. Daily eggs are done in a #3 or the Square Egg pan. depending on what you making.
Fried egg omelette....crack the eggs into the pan.....stab the yolks...............flip....add cheese.....fold......let it cook! Yum!
