I finally found the writeup for that Laphroaig Bacon.
Had to fire up the Wayback Machine, as it was on the Scotch Trooper blog that is now gone since his death.

Pasting below in case it disappears from the interwebs....

Laphroaig Bacon

Laphroaig Whisky = Amazing
Bacon = Incredible
Laphroaig Bacon = There are no words

The directions are simple, fry your bacon in a skillet. For me, I have a specific iron skillet that I use only for bacon. Yes, I’m that serious about my bacon. Remove from heat a little before your desired crispness, but leave in the skillet. Remove some of the bacon grease and add in a mixture of 2 tbs of whisky (I used Laphroaig 10) and 2 tbs of brown sugar into the skillet. Add back to heat and while being sure to cover the bacon in the whisky/sugar mixture. Let whisky cook down for a few minutes and remove from skillet onto paper towel… or directly into your mouth. Careful, it’s hot.

One word of caution, it’s addictive. The combination of smoke, sweetness and salt is a perfect breakfast treat. It has become one of the most requested breakfast item by the whole family. So be careful, It may dip into your whisky shelf. But it’s so worth it.

This is getting added to the to do list. Ive actually subscribed to a local farms delivery service, I get 5 lbs of bacon a month, delivered to my doorstep. There is much bacon in my future.

Ohhh she’s a creeper!.. I was thinking at first, I might have pulled her too soon, but nope, she’s a weird one, I can feel I’m not at the top of the high yet.
Nice buzz, but I don’t want to go feed the horses now. ?
Very mild hint of citrus, more chem so far, We’ll see what she does with a cure though, ..
Trimming her was a breeze, and very potent smelling. Lingering scents of flower bouqyet, earth and orange, doing a dry trim, so no scissor hash this round..
So far…??
