Also had a hermie seed that I had started inside then threw away then found it still growing so I brought in back into the fold. It is either wedding cake x Dubstep or straight Dubstep or bounty hunter x Dubstep. Dont know. Smells cakey.

New Old Family Purple x Jabbas Stash, which are replacements for 2 that got crushed/burned. One doing well one struggling to keep up.

And then a BBC that was in what seemed like mud, cheap home depot seed starter soil, so I ttansplanted it way before it was ready. Its hurting but hopefully comes back with time.

The BBC I had was slow out the gate in perfect conditions. About 2.5 weeks in though she took off and caught up to the other plants popped at the same time frame.
The Psycho Jenny is looking really nice, all of em are, damn fine work mang.
Too bad about that boy. Lol. He'd of been a good chucker. Lmfao.

My original plan for firing up the garden again was end of March. Because I have next to no self control I couldnt wait and started well in advance of my target date.
Well, next week I go away for 11 days and now have no one to care for my plants. Had a relative flying in to do it but that's no longer an option. I have no one else to ask. So...
I need to set up automated watering to have any shot at live plants when I get home. Will also take clones of everything I can and put them in the aero cloner. Should be fine there but...

Blumats?
Florafex?

I would set up a res with a pump on a timer to some drip emitters. Pretty easy to set up with big box store goods. I like 2 emitters per pot, in case one fails. The res will drift in ph, but thats better than drying out.

I did this last time this happened to me. I used it twice. First time was flawless. Second time had loads of storms and power failures and everything died. Had it set up to gravity feed. Bucket hanging in air got filled with 3/4 gallon of water from tote on ground every morning but timer for that function shut off with surge protector.
Just ordered a blumat system. Trying to figure out how to hook two 5 gallon reservoirs together so there is no chance of running dry. 12 days alone.

Man those blumats have a real learning curve to them. I have run them once and had my share of issues. I know @SCJedi has a lot of knowledge with them and @macsnax may be still running them. I would confirm this with both individuals but without time to get used to them you might want to consider backing the carrot dial maybe 1 notch or maybe even less. That will make more sense after reading the instructions. What i am warning you about is called a runaway carrot. That means it will start irrigating to a runoff that will empty the reservoir fairly quick. Not a good scenario if you are not around. I would feel better if i were you putting some clones on the cloner like you said for insurance. I am not knocking blumatt it is just the instruction are not that great and they take getting used to ( fine tuning so to speak).

Thanks, appreciate that heads up. I'll have 5 days with it before I leave. Hopefully thats enough to get it working well. I'll watch some you tube stuff over the next few days and be as ready as I can be. Grabbed the bigger(longer) carrots too not sure if they are necessary.

I have not worked with the long ones but i am fairly sure @SCJedi has. They are so damn touchy very fine line between enough and not enough. I hope they work out. I saved mine for just such a case were i had to leave the garden for a while. I am sure i could have gotten used to them. They kind of stopped me from pulling plants out for a good inspection because of the difficulty of undoing and redoing the set up.

They do have a learning curve, but very manageable after a few floods/educations. If you're not going to be around I would suggest looking into other options. I left town after I set mine up the first time and there weren't floods. But I also had someone checking on things.

I just hope theyre still alive after. Dont have to thrive just survive. Went over to CP and read through that thread too. May have to just lock myself in with them for a few days to make sure Im as dialed in as I can be. Damn I hope this works. Going to build a bigger reservoir rather than connecting 2 buckets. Saws yours at rhe other place. May duplicate that one. Minus the packing peanut. Lol

Just trying to avoid a power failure again. I absolutely trust your advice is what I need to hear and I thank you but I'm going to try. Mainly because I already ordered everything and Im desperate. I'll at least put them all in a big ass flood pan I have to mitigate damage if catastrophe strikes.

When tweeking try to stay on the lightest irrigation possible to avoid a runaway. Also try and elevate the plants as high as possible to avoid the plants them self having to set in water in case of a runaway. I set mine on small squares of 2 " styrofoam stacked up high as necessary. The really cool thing about my run with them is some of the plants just did not get enough water and it resulted in the most colorful plants i have ever grown. Same way in nature drought years have colorful foliage displays.

@GCG , go to Home Depot and get the self watering kit they offer. A bunch of hose and drip tips plus a head for the hose. I got one a while back in a pinch as I’m in the same situation. No family or people around that I’d trust with my plants while gone from home for extended trips. Flood and drain is a savior for those type situations I found. Hope things work out??✌?
