Yeah, my buddy has a farm up there, lost an entire field of veggies. Luckily his animals and hoop house were all safe and sound. He was fortunate, sent me pictures of some guys around him who were completely underwater

I tried it? just didn't care for the flavors. Fermenting temp isn't really an issue I just use an inkbird with a spare fridge =). Problem is trying to cool the boiling wort down to pitching temps when the water comes out of the faucet at 90f....

I've resorted to using a 25' copper pre-chiller in 10gallon kettle full of ice, then to the copper chiller in the wort. if I recirculated between them and used a cooler full of ice it would be more efficient on the water waste.....i've always just discharged into the grass since i don't water it much.
I tried some of the fancier liquid yeasts and couldn't taste the difference myself, so these are my go-to.

I am trying to picture this, so you have a pump and pump the wort thought the copper that's in the ice? And one in the wort that has water running thought it?

View attachment 177344 much more bitter than I was expecting based on the ibu. Decent, definitely not my favorite though.
I would say closer to 45ish ibu, what some of the brewers forget with old school hop variety’s is the WP isnt suited for these “bittering, catty, classic c hops” so they come off a bit sharp and not fluffy/rounded. But a beer is beer and I love BEER.
